Pros – Great benefits, a CEO & upper management who really care, large enough to be stable, small enough that you're able to make a difference, many people stay for 20+ years, opportunity to learn lots of new skills, you're allowed to laugh and have fun with your coworkers in a laid back environment.
Cons – Sometimes people are allowed to stay employed long after they've proved to be a drag on the company, often times things can get so busy in certain departments that vacation time & family life can be pushed to the back burner. This is one of APCO's biggest problems. Also APCO does not tend to hire the most talented IT developers. They look for cheap rather than experienced which causes long project delays and a lot of work to end up on the shoulders of the most knowledgeable staff. Burnout is a problem in IT, though not in other parts of the building.
Advice to Senior Management – Monitor the amount of OT people are doing for you: the nights where they stay up till sunrise and then come into work the next day. Appreciate those people. Hire talented & experienced IT people who cost more but will stop long delays from happening on implementations. Have higher standards for products launched so there's not so much "clean up" after the launch.

Pros – Good environment overall. Very casual. Most of the people there have been around for 10 + yrs and you can tell it has worn on them. Most people have gone 5+ yrs without raises but they are content and just deal with it. Execution is poor and management ultimately knows your replaceable and they approach everything that way.
Cons – Extreme Gossip and HR control causes problems between employees
Advice to Senior Management – Stop encouraging tattletales and have people bring their issues to each other instead of a third party. It is completely unnecessary and information is skewed and misrepresented.

Pros – Compared to other automotive service related jobs the pay, benefits, paid time off, and hours are very good.
Cons – Because APCO is a call center based business poor attendance and tardiness is not tolerated. Only pre-scedueled time off is allowed. Therefor this can make it difficult because of the long commutes and traffic congestion in the Atlanta area. And to balance family issues that may cause a person to be late or have to leave work un-scedueled.
Advice to Senior Management – The Senior management at APCO is very good and I believe truly does care about all of the employees.
