    Contract work

Mortgage Quality Assurance Analyst (Former Employee)
    Bloomington, MN

ProsI liked my recruiter; he kept in touch each month and gave me a head's up when management was not totally satisfied with my work. Because of his timely warning, I was able to turn my position into an award-winning one with very high marks.

ConsThe company is no longer placing people in the kind of work I was doing, and was not able to find me a new position after my contract ended. They now only place IT programmers.

Advice to Senior ManagementI won a lot of awards and made a ton of money for you - then you dropped me! It just doesn't seem fair.

    Unscrupulous practice, Clean environment

    Desktop Support (Former Employee)
    Laurel, MD

    ProsPaid every week
    Clean environment
    Diverse culture

ConsThe recruiters are duplicitous concerning the jobs available, and the length of the contracts.
Company does NOT place employees based on work profession, their aim to to fill a contract.
    Pay below average.
    Requests for job-reassignments are ignored.
    Weak benefits.
    NO paid holidays.
    No career advancement.
There is a revolving door for keeping qualified tech, most tech just quit, hard to stay motivated.

Good company, but not so great benefits

    Business Systems Consultant (Current Employee)
    Irving, TX

ProsGood range of contact positions offered.

ConsBenefits need work to be better suited to other agencies

Advice to Senior ManagementWork out a better benefits package for your contractors. They represent your company as much as your Full Time Employees. Treat them as good, or even a bit better as they are employed by you.

    Benefits?

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsI had just returned home from overseas and was able to get hired on pretty quickly after not finding gainful employment for nearly 6 months in my home state.

ConsNo holiday/vacation/sick days...nothing! You have to be on board for at least a year to get any time off - even if you're a Veteran you don't get Veterans Day off...pretty sad!

Advice to Senior ManagementUpdate policies to include some time off and be cognizant of the fact that if you are supporting a Government entity - an hour work=hour paid is a horrible concept since we don't have the option to work holidays if we wanted to.

Provided an opportunity to build the infrastructure for large data center environments

Lead Data Center Engineer (Former Employee)
    Centennial, CO

ProsRecruiters found me for an engineering position that I had been outside my search. Time for breaks that were approved by management and the contract agency helped to even out the stresses completing the project. The project experience gained is a value to my background.

ConsWas happy with all people involved.

Advice to Senior ManagementMore assistance with continuing placements.
