Pros
If you have an extensive resume you will be offered many opportunities. And, if if they help employ you, you also help them remain employed.
Cons
It is the nature of these temporary contract positions... these are temporary positions, neither allowing you to make any headway on building seniority at the company you are working for, nor receive the other benefits normally associated with that position.
Pros
Amazing structure for individuals coming right out of school, I really had no idea what type of work ethic makes someone successful, but my development here has paved the way for me to be ready for great things in the future.
Great compensation if you put in the work to be successful.
Cons
Highly competitive environment, not only internally but with all other agencies you have to compete with on every job.
Tend to see favoritism if someone who is over the top animated, compared someone equally as skilled who just keeps their head down and performing.
Advice to Senior Management
Great company, keep bringing in the right type of people
Pros
Always cares about the company morale and because it is privately owned, they care about the quality of life within the company
Cons
the industry itself can be really stressful at times.
Advice to Senior Management
Keep doing what you're doing
Pros
Movement upward and growth open for hard work no cap to how much you can make
Cons
No mental satisfaction and repetitive
Advice to Senior Management
Keep pushing listen to feedback
Pros
Considerate, Intelligent and Proactive Sr Mgmt staff and Owners; great culture! Ability to make a difference if you bring good ideas to the table, and show how to execute!
Cons
Could use advanced training and better benefits package
Advice to Senior Management
Doing a great job setting Apex apart from other staffing firms, and your genuine concern for the company/employees is noticed! Some offices struggle too long with poor mgmt in place. While it seems bad Managers are eventually switched or termed, it takes awhile to happen, and you lose good people because of it. Be quicker with changing line level mgmt!
Pros
Unlimited earning potential, ability to advance to difference career paths, good culture, fun atmosphere, strong support staff, good benefits, and ability to build a resume.
Cons
Large Company, not flexible when it comes to new opportunities, general lack of adequate branch management, too focused on goals, meetings, discussions, feedback, etc.
Advice to Senior Management
Apex seems to be a company in which people are able to manipulate their way up the corporate ladder. They don't seem to look under the hood when it comes to success or failure.
Pros
Great people to work with and work for
Cons
It's tough to put any cons. I left for better pay at a different company, but really miss the Apex culture
Pros
Fast paced environment, Great people to work with, Fair management, great opportunity to earn a great income. It takes longer than a year or 2 to get there, but if you are persistent and stick with it, you'll achieve the success.
Cons
Can be stressful if you are not hitting your number.
Pros
Good pay, nice contracts and pleasant office staff.
Cons
Unstable contract jobs, not able to support Corp 2 Corp contracts for client, terrible benefits for contractors. Recruiters do not seem to know you are on a contract assignment already.
Advice to Senior Management
Provide C2C arrangementsa and better benefits for contractors including job assistance when contract lapses.
Pros
The environment is young and fun. Lots of team building events planned to keep the drama down in the office. Your job is completely outlined for you on paper.
Cons
Favoritism is a huge problem. The "best" recruiters get the easiest reqs to work on. The "best" AM's have accounts handed to them and only have to maintain. It can also be a problem if the MD is never around so an AM "assumes" they are the boss, so now you have 2 or more "bosses"....
Advice to Senior Management
Overall, there are some really great young professionals working at Apex, however, clearly defined leadership does not always exist. Management definitely did not communicate or follow through in my case.
