    Cons

fmr parents under invested in products, people and training. took the cash and got out. new mgmt is working hard to change culture and talent/pay to high performance org.

    Pros

Most all the pros are being erased. Once a viable company with many opportunities.

    Cons

The company has been taken over by people that haven't a clue. People with skills are being let go and people with little or no experience are being assigned to positions that they will not succeed. Company closes all field service centers and completely abandons all of their ADE customers. (Advance Drilling Equipment) West of the Mississippi has been left for their competitors.

    Advice to Management

None------the company is lost. Maybe the plan all along.

    Pros

The brand is recognized and respected, but more often than not by people who have never seen the flawed inner workings of the company.

    Cons

The company has an HR process that is antiquated, with HR leaders who are not approachable and are closed door managers. There is little or no concern for employee welfare, and no documented career progression plans. The poor HR culture trickles down to other management and it's a very negative environment in most locations, and most evident in the corporate headquarters in Sparks, MD.

    Advice to Management

Bain Capital and the new CEO will begin to realize that HR is negatively affecting the overall well being of the company, and make some changes. Hopefully sooner than later.

    Pros

Great company, new CEO driving change long overdue. Strong focus on people, HR/talent, culture. Used to be Danaher culture, now changing for better. Good pay and benefits.

    Cons

Demanding pay for performance work environment. Not for the weak or timid, need to deliver results.

    Advice to Management

Sorry I had to leave for personal family resaons. Keep pushing for growth and change. Lots of good managemetn adds in past few years. Danaher and Cooper didn't invest for a decade. Keep raising the bar!

    Pros

    Diverse opportunity through many years

    Cons

Challenging. Lacking integrety in some management. Management can't seem to set priorities deciding what not to do and chooses to do a poor job on many things.

    Advice to Management

Focus.. increase accomplishments and reduce employee burnout.

    Pros

Great products, opportunity to get involved in a variety of projects. A team that wants to win.

    Cons

Has grown up from a long series of acquisitions / mergers. Could benefit from a cleaner go-to-market / branding strategy. Tied to struggling Sears.

    Advice to Management

Keep the gas on the growth initiatives. Our competition is composed of mega brands and we need scale.
