I worked at ApolloMD full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The organization does reward allied health professionals with productivity compensation. Although providers can improve productivity, there is no check and balance system for clinical compliance of production oversight from a coding alignment perspective.

    Cons

Limited investment in staff cultural experience expressed in no annual review / retention program or skill development through support programs. Revenue Cycle staffs are treated as second class employees with almost no opportunity for income growth. There is no fiduciary visibility for clients and key metric tools are tightly held with silo based communication. Patients are treated with relentless collection calls due to extensive balance billing and transfer of write-offs to ownership affiliated collection agency.

    Advice to Management

Build an infrastructure, culture and operational environment that places patients and employees first. Turnover costs are real and the value to retain good talent far outweighs short term profits. Industry reputation and cultural values are motivating factors to talent. The employment sector has changed dramatically in the past 7 years and positive change is the only pathway to long term growth.

    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at ApolloMD full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

There are lots of opportunity to work at whatever volume of patient load you feel comfortable in handling. Adequate but not great pay.

    Cons

No real communication between ApolloMD administration and the ED physician and Mid Level Providers. Too much micro managing and constant badgering to increase production, even at the expense of patient care. Constantly walking the fine line of insurance fraud in their documentation.

    Advice to Management

Take care of your current contracts. Good quality, competent and compassionate care is your best advertisement.
