    Sometimes they will provide free lunch at the end of the month/quarter

    Cons

    They treat employees poorly, encourage employees to work late for the sake of staying late, and are all about the metrics, even though that has no correlation to actual success.

    Pros

    Deli by the square is amazing.

    Cons

    No personal growth, poor leadership, low pay, poor management, and a terrible culture.

    Culture=use you and throw you out. No one is safe. There are layoffs every quarter.

    Leadership=Out of touch. Literally because the leadership was out of Texas. They have gotten rid of all of the old leadership, which honestly wasn't that great to begin with. AppAssure was corrupt and Dell was just as bad.

    Dell AppAssure is a sinking ship. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I see job posts on glassdoor for entry level sales positions. I don't understand how they can advertise new positions when they lay off groups of people every quarter. Additionally, commission is not guaranteed. They slashed everyone's pay with little warning to unlivable wages. The base pay was less than $35k a year. No one can survive on that in this area. Not only is the pay low, but commission is unattainable. You can work extremely hard and close a lot of deals, but if the customers do not pay enough of their invoices, you will not receive a penny. This is a very realistic possibility because a lot of customers do not pay because the product doesn't work.

    Speaking of which, the product is garbage. It does not work and customers are beginning to realize this. Support is inadequate and is unable to handle the number of cases.

    To summarize, do not work here.

    If you are going to close the office, then close it. Stop using the sales team to make a ton of money and then lay them off without properly compensating them.

    Out of touch leadership-- managed from Round Rock Tx.
    Ridiculous case load per support rep ratio

    Pros

    Pros are only for tech, not sales:

    Excellent social value - I really loved the people I worked with.

    The salary/bonuses are awesome if you're on the right side. For example, people will get more money even if they just started later than you; it's supposed to be a secret, but everyone knows how much everyone else makes.

    Cons

    I wouldn't recommend joining sales. The turnover rate is ridiculous.

    I genuinely liked my managers. However, the sales managers had a less than glowing reputation.

    - You have the Dell name to carry with you forever.
    - Select few will be very successful
    - You have a ton of time off. Use it wisely
    - Young culture, good people

    - You DO NOT get value for your work
    - Hiring of unqualified Regional Managers
    - You will always feel like a number
    - Late commission checks for SM's and BDR +'s
    - Live and Die by metrics. Even if you hit quota's you must make 150 calls per day with a
       demo
    - One of top performing BDR's was fired for ghost dialing. 85% of reps ghost dial.
    - You have no control for your BDR path. Stay off SLED. It's new and very unorganized division

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Focus more on revenue than metrics for those who prove to close business. No sense in exhausting your best reps for metrics. Listen to your employees and value them for the hard work they do. Communicate your messages to Directors, regional mangers and sales managers more effectively.

    * Dell name?
    * Dress is casual
    *If you like music playing somewhat loudly then you'l like it there
    *Parking is good

    Cons

    This is for both technical and Sales positions:
    1)A fear-based top down approach to managing and meeting expectations.
    2)Arbitrary/unreasonable quotas to reach per quarter before you get any pay increase
    3)Very little training, very little resources to learn the product but a lot of pressure to do so.
    4)Demonstration environments have a high failure rate
    5)High level of turn-over
    6)Very low starting pay
    7)HR is non-existent-You have to submit a ticket and wait a while
