Advice to Senior Management
invest more time in training and career development
Pros
it's Apple. Great technology, great products
Cons
Everything is a secret, very little communication. They keep pushing for more work. High stress, very little down time. Not a lot of opportunity for personal growth
Advice to Senior Management
Take a better care of your engineers, they're the one making your future products.
Pros
- Excellent knowledge base
- Good benefits and perks
- Competent people
- Good place to learn, good college job
Cons
- Pay needs to be more competitive
- little opportunity for growth, lied to about how there was plenty
- plagued by the many minuscule foolish things that occur in many companies like favoritism and arrogance
- Sometimes can feel like a dead end although great excitement in the beginning.
Advice to Senior Management
You need to be open to going outside of yourselves and understanding your employees, to receiving the feedback you talk so much about rather than assuming that every employee that does give you feedback is simply another disgruntled fool to be overlooked. Sometimes, people really are trying to help, you need to let them.
Pros
Great training at the start and continuous support throughout your time their.
Cons
With the number of associates they hire, it's very difficult to move up. Internet is available on all the computers making it awkward to kick somebody off so you can demo product for customer.
Advice to Senior Management
Provide more support to those that are interested in advancing their careers with Apple. There is no need to micromanage. Don't make the internet available to everybody. It's a retail store not an internet cafe. There should be a way for associates to unlock the computers in case internet access is needed.
Pros
Good products, good benefits, good co-workers
Cons
Salary is low for the amount of revenue they make
Advice to Senior Management
If you want the best of the best pay them better.
Pros
great products, forward thinking, good people
Cons
management, no down time, no training, no support from HR
Advice to Senior Management
Care about your people
Pros
Coworkers are typically fun people. Good outlet for creativity. Managers give you good deal of autonomy in your work. Not bad.
Cons
Very little in the way of growth opportunities. Customers are some of the worst I've ever seen in a retail store.
Pros
Fun atmosphere and interesting people, very clean and organized, friendly coworkers and enthusiastic management as well as diverse experiences every day
Cons
Sometimes a little overwhelming and managers can be micro managers, people can be difficult to work with especially when very inept
Advice to Senior Management
So long as the innovations keep flowing, people will keep coming back to us and I look forward to being there to help them
