Pros
Fun atmosphere and interesting people, very clean and organized, friendly coworkers and enthusiastic management as well as diverse experiences every day
Cons
Sometimes a little overwhelming and managers can be micro managers, people can be difficult to work with especially when very inept
Advice to Senior Management
So long as the innovations keep flowing, people will keep coming back to us and I look forward to being there to help them
Pros
It's a work with a good pay, a lot of benefits (discount, mobile phone, computer, ecc.) and (if lucky) with a good team.
Cons
Management competence and professionalism is lacking. There's no good communication with the management, and some times it can be ambiguous. Customers can be very disrespectful, sometime it can become very stressful.
Advice to Senior Management
Try to be more in touch with your employees and be a little more understanding. Managers can also improve their skills to prevent bad selling moments.
Pros
- You work with awesome people
- Salary and benefits are great
- You can have a great carreer
- The products are amazing
Cons
- retail is retail, working hours sucks
- once you are either a creative, ics, genius or expert... you're unlikely to be considered to grow your career inside apple (managements or corporate); 99% of the time: their hire from outside
- there is alot of politics going on within the team
Pros
decent pay, you get the opportunity to meet lots of great people, learning experience, good life work balance, management really seems to care, catered events, fun team
Cons
can be a little 'cult-ish' at times, unorganized because of the size of staff, alot of back and forth and mis-communication from management, dont always get schedule far enough in advance
Advice to Senior Management
Please give schedules 2 weeks in advance. I know you want us to love apple and feel like a famil and be proud but be a bit less in your face with the kool-aide sometimes.
Pros
The caliber of people you encounter here is extremely high and one of the biggest benefits is that each and every person truly was the best candidate for that job. Everyone is committed to doing a good job of doing their job.
Cons
If you are geographically bound to a remote or field office, opportunity for advancement is limited. Relocation is often necessary.
Pros
great wage, and fun environment to work for. discounts, job security, great benefits
Cons
its a bit stressful. Politics plays a role on your success at Apple.
Pros
Unique company culture, actually effective in daily business.
Pride in what we do and how we do it.
A lot human thinking and knowledge —positive values— go in our products. It can be truely beautiful.
A lot to learn from the ability this company has to focus and to stick to a direction.
Cons
Very demanding. Burn out danger.
Less proud of Apple's greed, too apparent on several levels. Makes it harder to relate to other (and real) Apple values.
Not much of a career path.
We have the hardest time to let go of our arrogance.
Advice to Senior Management
Remember what your employee, customers and even products are about: human values. Not just money. Tim may get us there.
Pros
Great place to work everyday people are great.
Cons
Be prepared to put in some time before you move on also can be had as dept heads like to hold onto people
Pros
Great working environment. The people are great and individuality is encouraged and celebrated. Pay is competitive and greater than most other retail jobs.
Cons
Loads of ambiguity. At the end of the day, it's still retail so hours will never be what you want them to be.
Advice to Senior Management
For the most part, all of the managers are doing a great job at making apple a great place to work!
Pros
It was magnificent to get an inside perspective for the development of all these great gadgets that Apple is credited for.
Cons
The marketing push to create demand
Advice to Senior Management
