Pros
good environment, friendly people who are always there for you. good, healthy competition that motivates you to do your best
Cons
low pay for most due to the large workforce. Mean manager who does not really care about you, only about himself
Advice to Senior Management
improve your management. make sure no one is being taken advantage of, and that everyone is getting paid what they deserve
Pros
Its located in New York and the store is fantastic place to work because you can spend time with the electronic gadgets
Cons
The jobs are very demanding and you have to work very hard during unsocial hours to keep up to the standard.
Advice to Senior Management
They should cooperate with their employees on issues such as taking time off to attend family functions and for medical visits.
Pros
stable company
slight discount on products
interesting youthful co-workers
Cons
those that succeed are not necessarily qualified
Advice to Senior Management
actively develop employees that want to do more
Pros
Outstanding leadership and support, great discounts, wonderful work environment, and excellent co-workers. Apple Retail takes great care in treating its employees well such that we will treat the customers well in turn. The environment is optimistic and energetic.
Cons
At Apple Retail, the word "career" gets tossed around a lot. Make no mistake, this is a retail job like any other in terms of growth opportunity. If you don't aspire toward retail management, there isn't much for you to gain here.
Pros
Salary and benefits package are the best in retail
Hours are very flexible
Environment is very clean and enjoyable
No "dress code" or uniform
Cons
Very high paced environment. Sometimes stressful
Since Apple is such a high volume business there is a lot to keep track of
Some information has a hard time being dispersed among employees
Advice to Senior Management
Please do a better job at communicating to us in a timely manor! You guys do a great job of actually providing the information but getting it faster would be great.
Pros
Looks good on resume, some learning possible.
Cons
A lot of work, low pay, very hard to be promoted, too much brain washing...
Advice to Senior Management
Pay people more and be more real
Pros
If you are an artist, at all creative or just like socializing, Apple is a great place to work. The coworkers there will definitely become some of your best friends, and most customers are pretty cool too. Considering it's a non-commission based sales position the pay is very good too.
Cons
Sometimes it takes a serious amount of brown nosing and hoop jumping to get any sort of vertical growth within the company. Management can be distant or downright lazy. Corporate dictates many stupid rules that don't always make sense for individual stores.
Advice to Senior Management
Honestly the best advice to give to management is to actually get to know all of your employees, and poll opinions from everyone to get the best idea of who your people actually are, not just how they act when management is around.
Pros
good to work with apple
Cons
nice to work with apple
Pros
The atmosphere in the store is unlike any other. Not only that, but the amazing collection of personalities, minds and atitudes that make up the Apple family make it impossible to enjoy yourself while working. Putting smiles on a persons face after showing them something new is just an amazing feeling. I wouldn't trade it for anything.
Cons
The only downside of working at Apple is the fact that I have to go home at the end of the day. I honestly love this company.
Advice to Senior Management
The management team at Apple are the most supportive I've ever had the pleasure working with. At previous jobs, I always felt somewhat daunted when approaching management. I used to feel that managers didn't care about me. But my sentiments have changed. At this company, the management team feels almost like the advisory feeling you would get from a grandparent. They're calm, understanding and caring. If every company operated at a fraction of the way Apple does then the world would be a different place.
Pros
great 401 k benefits, flexible schedules, great people to support you, comfortable work environment, very understanding time and attendance policy
Cons
i have no complaints as of yet.
