Pros
Cool company. Good ergonomic cubes with sit/stand workstations
Lots of chances to get perks through selling
Opportunity to advance to management and different departments
Innovative work environments. Home Based agents
Cons
Pressure to keep call times to a minimum while keeping customer satisfaction high.
You have to like working with the public. Lets face it, there are some ignorant people who can not follow directions
Advice to Senior Management
management did a great job. I thought all my managers had something to offer, except for the one I could not understand half the time.
Pros
I get occasional presents. The job is laid back and easy to do. There are no direct supervisors to hassle you if you do your job decently because it is an at home job.
Cons
I dont really have any downsides. The work is somewhat repetative though
Advice to Senior Management
I have no recommendations
Pros
It's a popular company and you get to help the back of house keep good inventory. Plus major discounts on most of their products.
Cons
It's always hard to get the days that you want cleared because of the high volume of customers and the long hours that the store is open.
Advice to Senior Management
Be flexible, on average we're happy to work there, but we're people with lives too. People who have to work odd hours deserve some stability.
Pros
no travel required
apple pays $50/month for utilities
good benefits/compensation
all team members are really nice to chat with
Cons
no face time with upper management
no one knows who you are
no way to get your name out
no mobility
never meet anyone that you work with. you are stuck at home for the whole time. this could be seen as a pro for some folks who have prior commitments or would rather stay home than meet new people or teammates.
stuck doing tech support for a good 5 years before management acknowledges you
Advice to Senior Management
if people are qualified to move up then please review them
Pros
They are pretty close to the bleeding edge in their IT departments. You will learn alot.
Cons
You work. Life/work Balance Could be better, It is not uncommon to work 50+ hours a week on average.
Advice to Senior Management
Look internally for superior performers and recognize them more often
Pros
Generous benefits and perks such as vacation and sick time.
Cons
It feels like the culture is more of who you know then what you know.
The training is very well done unless you are in a department that is not
in the core of Apple Care (example: Itunes and MobileMe).
Certain Managers do not seem to care or learn what we are supporting. Makes it
very difficult to explain when there are legit issues that customers are upset about.

Pros
discounts on products. if you want a job and your handicapped it is a good place to get one. Cafe and gym on campus locations.
Cons
If you are not in the cliche you will not go anywhere in company. Ran like a small company, lack of communication on basic knowledge every employee should know. Felt like it was ten years behind the time when you were suppose to be working in a cutting edge company.
Advice to Senior Management
Fire your middle management and start from scratch, they will cost you money in lawsuits with their extreme prejudices and stupidity.
Pros
Great job to work at, Great pay and great people
Cons
Work hours can be tough
Advice to Senior Management
Continue the good work!
Pros
It's the best entry level retail job I've had, or heard of. No commission, acceptable pressure to make sales, and the best "dress code" in the business. Everyone working there is happy to be there, and is fun to hang out with. I've never had a retail job where coworkers actually wanted to hang out after work- and neither have I had one where management/the company wasn't bashed every chance we got.
Cons
It's retail. Dealing with The Public sucks. The store gets really busy- there was literally one single time where it was empty of customers, and it's almost always quite busy. Also, people have ridiculously silly expectations of warranty coverage, and take it out on you on an almost daily basis.
Advice to Senior Management
A predictable schedule, completed months ahead of time, would be great.
Pros
Benefits, Benefits, Benefits!
Pay is not necessarily the highest in the industry, but Apple benefits look more like corporations of old, minus a pension.
Cons
Although you control your destiny, Apple picks who they want to hire and retain...and they are VERY picky indeed!
Advice to Senior Management
It's nice that Apple is "going green", but a more important move would be to start INsourcing their workforce agan. Some of Billions they make per quarter could go to that effort and they would come out Patriotic Heroes in doing so!
