Pros
Working at Apple was an awesome experience. They were very flexible with hours and provided constant on the job training and manager feedback so that you felt confident and comfortable with the quality of your work. There are full health benefits, including vision and dental; Access to 401k and the ability to purchase stock at a reduced price; and finally they have awesome employee discounts
Cons
During some holiday seasons and product launches you may be asked to work some additional hours. It is not a very big deal though because you get to choose when you want to work.

The company is innovative, the corporate culture is amazing. You are truly setup for success when you start working there. I have found that management is open and ready to help.

Things can get stressful we're a company who releases new products constantly and you have to be up on the latest technology all the time.
Advice to Senior Management
Getting my job at Apple made the day the last company I worked for laid me off the best day of my life.

Stuck in your office all day.
Advice to Senior Management
Apple is an amazing company to work for. No complaints on my end.
Pros
Good benefits, great products and innovation.
Cons
In this department most of our Finance team is hourly and we feel we are not treated as good as our salaried counterparts. We work hard and meet our deliverables but feel we are micromanaged and unappreciated. Promotions for Financial Analyst positions are given externally to candidates with MBA's even though team members who have been stuck in the same position for years are qualified and capable and managers in this department don't even have a Bachelors degree. Rules are not enforced uniformly throughout the team but rather enforced upon certain team members who are singled out. Any new responsibilities we take on are always considered lateral rather than upward movement and the outlook for advancement if you ever want to be considered a "real" Financial Analyst or even a Manager are grim. Any attempt to discuss our feelings with management is looked down upon as complaining rather than expressing our concerns.
Advice to Senior Management
Be fair, consider the team's feelings, motivate and encourage growth, be positive, listen to us and do not put us down. We do not need to be micromanaged. We do desire advancement and we are smart and knowledgeable in our fields. Give us a chance to learn and consider us for promotions. If an internal candidate applies and does not get the job, let he or she know what she can do to get the job the next time it or a similar position becomes available. Just because the economy offers so many highly qualified and experienced individuals doesn't mean we should be discounted. When we started here, we desired to grow and advance in a Finance career at Apple and we expect our managers to facilitate that growth and encourage it wherever possible. Finally, please deal with problems that arise within the team and don't ignore it or look down upon employees who express their concerns. Most importantly, BE HONEST to us and don't hold things back!
One other thing unrelated to this department.....the Cafeteria in Elk Grove needs more food choices and shouldn't be so expensive. In Cupertino, salad is charged by the box, not by the weight. Why on earth are the poor Elk Grove people being charged by the weight of the box! We don't earn that much so why should we pay more than what people in Cupertino pay? If you want to encourage healthy eating, lighten up on the cost of the salad bar!
Pros
Work environment is relax, pay is well and benefits are great
Cons
No big discounts on products, no profit sharing
Pros
Awesome benefits!!! There are vacation accumulation as well as sick hours so you don't draw from your vacation if you get ill. Payed holidays!
Cons
Nothing with the company but some customers can be extremely difficult over the phone. Constantly training so not for the lazy type.
Advice to Senior Management
Keep doing what you are doing to make your employees feel they are important and understand their role. Great feedback
Pros
Working support at Apple means you get to learn Apple products inside and out. This is good for getting a job working elsewhere in the computer industry.
Cons
It's hard to get out of the support organization. The obvious promotion paths don't offer many chances to take them as the people in said positions tend to stay there.
Advice to Senior Management
More guidance on leaving the support organization.
Pros
Pay was okay, scheduling is good as long as you perform
Cons
Scheduling sucks if you do not perform well and the pay could be higher
Advice to Senior Management
Stop the High school click stuff
