I have been working at Apple Vacations full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    Vacations, vacations, vacations, vacations, vacations

    Cons

Terrible management, they allow the travel agents to walk all over you simply because they bring in the business. They actually listen to calls where they clearly hear a disrespectful agent, and blame you for it. Not worth the 10.00 an hour salary.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Get new management

I worked at Apple Vacations full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Took into account that humans worked there -- not machines. They took care to employ the very best, and treated them like the very best.

    Cons

I think the atmosphere might have changed over the last ten years or so... Management changes and economic pressures might have corporatized the works. Not a bad thing, just that they may not shine as much in the employee relations category. Many old guard were let go. Progress...

I worked at Apple Vacations full-time

    Pros

Great travel benefits to Mexico and Caribbean

    Cons

    No opportunities for advancement
    Laziness is accepted
Pay is so low it is difficult to even use travel benefits
Poor management that does not care about growth of their employees
Some management plays favorites and gossips
Technology is not up to par with rest of industry
    Lack of training opportunities

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take a look at those currently in management positions and review whether they are really the right fit for the job. Speak with employees and see how they feel about their managers. You are losing people with great potential because there are no opportunities for advancement. Pay also needs to be reviewed as this is not in line with the rest of the industry.

Love the travel perks- just about the only benefit! And the number 1 reason people want to work here.
