I worked at AppleOne as a contractor for less than a year

    Pros

Within a week, they were offering me several positions, and within a month I had a temp to perm job for $13 hr with a great company who extended my contract.

    Cons

The only con I had is I didn't know the job title until a week after I started, and then found out it was data entry. However, it turned out to be a lot more too, probably worked out for the best for me.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I have been working at AppleOne full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Nearly everything we do has the eventual result of aiding many people in gaining employment.

    Cons

The building we are currently in hasn't aged well. Constant little problems, but those fortunately don't have a significant effect on work....just funny to discuss with coworkers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't forget about corporate employees. The associates in the field can earn commission and qualify for company events. The other 10% of us only get to hear about all the fun they have!

I worked at AppleOne full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Some of the folks that work there are great people....

    Cons

The company does not value it's employees, especially the long standing employees that built the comapny. Management is pushing down unrealistic goals for the employees to achieve therefore company discontent is on the rise. Recent new management changes has brought in individuals that talk the talk but do not walk the walk.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get rid of key individuals in Marketing/Training and begin again to go back to the basics that Bernie, the owner, practices.

I have been working at AppleOne as a contractor for more than a year

    Pros

If, and only if, you keep after them, they can usually find some work not matter how below your actual skill level.

    Cons

Complete and total lack of caring. Are you working in the system? OK, ignore. Do you request reassignment? Make appropriate noises and ignore. Hey, the contract employee is still bringing in money for the company, even if the job isn't ideal and isn't making enough to pay the bills! Once you're in, there is no further interest in your goals, abilities, or needs. And they work autonomously -- declare they know nothing about what is available in the company system, but then recruiters in other offices are hesitant to consider a contract employee "working" out of another office.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take a very long look at what the lazy approach your "top" recruiters are taking. This company could be making a lot more money off of my talents if there were less lip service and more active pursuit of getting employees already into the system into a better contract or temp position when they are available.

I have been working at AppleOne full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Great place to come to in the event that you are in between work. I was job hunting and I finally decided to try temping. Great way to network!

    Cons

You have to be consistent and make sure that you are always in contact with someone. Otherwise you may be forgotten. I would call in everyday just to say "Hey I'm available."

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Great team to work with. Keep it up!

I have been working at AppleOne full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    They have good jobs posted!

    Cons

10/10 times you may apply, your resume will be considered against the requirements in no more than 3 seconds.
What was more surprising to me, is when I went to Apple one in Newport Beach to discuss about my resume and found out that you had to pass a test on how careful you should be at work, how many times you should take the break, how straight to seat in the chair to avoid pain..They were very serious about this..I didn't pay attention to the presentation and failed but left their office from such stupidity. Never again have I applied for this company. I don't see how friendly they can be testing people on how to walk in a wet floor!!!! Or is just for Newport Beach office only. I wish I could have had a camera with me at the time and record it!
