I have been working at Apria Healthcare full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good place to get experience in the medical field. You can learn outpatient medical coding as Customer Quality Specialist and medical billing as a Suspended Billing Representative or Collections Representative.

    Cons

High turnover of employees and management at their customer care centers. No promotion opportunities outside of becoming management. They also have outsourced some of their employee's work to India and the Phillipines.

    Advice to Management

Create more promotion opportunities for your employees and stop micromanaging them.

I worked at Apria Healthcare (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great employees who really expressed a desire to help and serve people. Good support from supervisors and managers.

    Cons

Some politics got in the way of providing customer service due to the upper management constantly putting profits over customer care.

    Advice to Management

Get back to the role of the company to provide the best customer service and the profits will take care of themselves.

I have been working at Apria Healthcare full-time

    Pros

Regardless of your role, you get to deliver on an important mission - helping sick people deal with their illness at home.

    Cons

Lot of change, but if you like change it's awesome. Systems need to get with the times, and people could be appreciated and invested in a little more.

    Advice to Management

Keep sharing information and insights on how we are doing and where we are heading and remember that your people matter - they, not systems, policies or anything else, make this company.

Apria leadership has a vision but are unable to share vision with staff. If you question the undisclose vision plan then you're labeled as not being adaptable according to senior management but reality you just want to understand the plan and next steps for the company.

    Advice to Management

A lot will be expected of you be patient and expect to work hard.
