the quality of work that is available on the floor is something to really look up to as this kind of work is generally not available in bigger firms with too much red-tape

    Cons

Sometimes the working hours may be demanding, however the extra effort is appreciated and accordingly recognized when it is due

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I worked at Aranca full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

leaning curve is steep and quick, work under pressure, platform to recognize unethical and exploitative employers early in your career

    Cons

work life balance does not exist, a lot of attrition due to that (esp among the fairer gender), management does not care about employees, career stagnation after a certain level (about two years), non cash benefits virtually absent, value extraction rather than value addition philosophy is the guiding principle, owners are too proud about their own academic achievements but have learned little about good morals

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    be ethical and fair

I worked at Aranca full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Sharpens your political/man-management skills for when your real career begins
The management doesn't care but they let you know that they don't - no fake promises

    Cons

Unprofessional, bad pay mangers, deliberate lack of clarity on roles, pay structures, profiles a key business strategy
The managers acknowledge being way behind in the industry pay scale...and do nothing
Ridiculously bloated 360 degree self projection and goals - the whole nine yards
HR & Admin practice best suited for a daily wage industrial unit - Vindictive
Attrition is diabolical - all place-worthy talent evaporates quickly; people of 2 categories here >7 years and < 1 year
Work experience of and profile offered to new/lateral recruits is not even on the same galaxy
Culture of Straight Faced Lies - Practice leads, managers to the management; management in turn to the employees
CHEQURED REVENUE FLOW - No major large/complex recurring contracts - small Baniya style business model
Cheap management backed internal saving tricks - Hides client bonuses from the employees !!, Regular bonus dispersed 3 months after annual appraisal cycle to coercively retain (?), all basic necessities (tea, food etc.) seen as revenue centers, CSR contributions necessary to stay in good books etc. etc. etc.
Small decision making elite circle of 4-7 people - myopic vision based on their experiences; perverse to suggestions.
This is a KPO is a KPO is a KPO - majority in the industry know it...fresher's do not fall for it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Margins and Exit Multiples are all delivered by the people who work for you. They deserve their share of the riches much more than the insulting 'people initiatives' offered. The tipping point is behind you when an open recruitment season is seen as a nightmare - all good talent migrates and no acceptable one wants to join.

    Pros

Showing stars in the cloudy sky, freshers might get lured, vision which cannot be achieved. A good training school for freshers... manages working capiatl well with interrnal savings.....

    Cons

Management does not know what they are doing
No proper structure in place, after nearly 10 years of operation all processes still works on excel sheets. No proper technological tool to run various organizational processes.
No growth path after SRA level
HR sucks its more a management resource rather than human resource.
Appraisal process is more punishing system rather rewarding
Centralized organization no powers with managers, practice leads
Talent not nurtured well.... if u close to ur superior u r perfect.....
too many trainings with no objectives

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Valuation s might increase if pay more attention in employee retention then hiring big guns

Current Employee - Research Analyst in Mumbai (India)

I have been working at Aranca full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

    - The BEST profile availble at Aranca is Valuations and Transaction Advisory
    -Worklife Balance
    - All the senior managers are very much intellectual with extensive experience in handling valuation assignments, you can have good learning experiences working with them.
    - The work here is similar to work of Big 4 transaction advisory team
    - People are encouraged and given due credit and recognition for their work
    - Good Exit oppotunities available after working in this role. Several employees have switched to front-end IB roles, Big 4, Valuations etc.

    Cons

Low pay in comparison to similar roles in EnY, PWC or delliote is the only drawback which forces several employees to quit for better opportunities elsewhere
The employee confirmation rate is lesser in comparison with other practices at Aranca

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Bring more work related to M&A valuations, India Business Valuations
And please bring the CTC of valuations and advisory team in par with the Big 4 transaction advisory teams.
If the above to situations are met, than there shall be no need for any employee to quit the Valuations and Transaction Advisory team at Aranca.

Great Office culture, great team that is understand of your personal commitments as well. Growth potential is excellent. The team is very understanding of the personal leaves you need to take, provided they are within limit.

    Cons

Its not a very well known brand so the churn is very high. This results in having to train a new team too often.
