Pros – Genuine and personable senior leadership. Dedicated employees who work hard and are passionate about their jobs. Competitive pay and benefits. Small organization allows for more flexibility with employees and more personal treatment. Decent vacation benefit. Good reputation in the community.
Cons – Retirement package does not provide employer matching funds, health benefits are nothing special (typical of non-profits at this time). In an attempt to leverage funding, lots of new programs constantly popping up, but internal infrastrucure is not suited for that, so lots of logistical problems (office space, equipment sharing, rotating supervisors, etc.). Be prepared to do lots and lots of paperwork.
Advice to Senior Management – Keep up the good work.
