    Pros

t keeps you fit, active and busy. Work hard with no spare time to think of your personal problems. A typical day starts with punching in at work. The manager quickly tells you what you have to do. You have to complete not just what the manager tells you to do, but what you think is necessary to be done. You have to deliver products as quickly as possible. If there is any spare time, you have to restock the kitchen refrigerators, do the dishes, sweep the floor, organize the cardboard, waste receptacles.

    Cons

If you do not follow a single thing the shift manager tells you to do, you get blamed for insubordination and sometimes get blamed for overall kitchen slowness in responding to customer needs. If there is too many people in the kitchen, the manager quickly decides whom to send home so that they can get more work done with less people. There is only a 10 minute break every 5 hours of work. The kitchen crew gets yelled at by the person who bags the food and takes it to the delivery window. The kitchen crew also gets yelled at by the store manager. The pace of work is very, very fast and the kitchen crew member has to be physically very agile and strong to do the job. Plus, he has to have very sharp mental skills to make the orders correctly, the precedence of orders, drive through orders have higher priority than front counter orders.

    Advice to Management

Train Managers and shift leaders to be kind, polite and treat hourly workers with respect. Train employees to respect and be kind to other co-workers.

    Pros

its a great company that actually does care about customer service and i beleive its better than other fast food industries

    Cons

i work hard and although im 16 i do a better job than some people there that are 40 and make 9$ an hour when i make 7.25$ and cant work a meat slicer until the age of 18 which holds me back from doing some tasks

    Advice to Management

if im old enough to work i should be old enough for any work.

    I worked at Arby's part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good company that have personality and great customer service aspects

    Cons

Management is very strict there uniform policy is very overwhelming and some policy that are very old seem to still be in affect but yet the company has yet to modernize to a new generation of economic professional appearance.

    Advice to Management

Stay strict to good customer service policy but change and listen to some of your youth associate to modernize the company and business a bit more to bring in a younger crowd of new hires and consumers

    I have been working at Arby's part-time

    Pros

-flexible hours -friendly and understanding general manager -friendly shift managers

    Cons

-unimaginative products that take forever to make (if you are on backline position making food) -Very OLD customers 90% of the time/ usually pretty clueless as how to order at a fast food -understaffed for lunch and dinner rushes. Except for weekends (depending on your location) -EXTREMELY uptight about cleanliness -Very slow equipment (i.e. credit card machines, registers, etc)

    Advice to Management

Leave some slack for the employees and modernize restaurants to fit with the times. You market commercials and social media towards young people but the restaurants are still geared towards the elderly.

I have been working at Arby's part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

You get really close to some of the team and you make a few good friends. This was my first job in fast food so I learned a lot about catering to the customer and making excellent food. Making a customer smile or feel welcomed is an amazing feeling.

    Cons

For shift managers and team members, you don't get paid much at all. Raises in hourly wages happen every 6 months and the raise is something 1 dollar more an hour. Customers can be quite nasty to yo, which can be somewhat emotionally draining.

    Advice to Management

Raise the hourly wage because team members and shift managers work hard.
