    Pros

It is a pleasure working with the staff here. Their personalities help make working for Arcadian easier and the day goes by faster too.

    Cons

I can not speak for all the departments but, for sure, my department's management has promised me an increase back in December 2009 to be fulfilled within 6 months. It is now June 2011, promise has not yet been fulfilled due to added excuses.

    Advice to Management

Please stay true to your promises to the staff because the trend lately is people are resigning because the promises were not met. Please take better care of your employees.

I worked at Arcadian Management Svc full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Somewhat of autonomy if you know what you are doing

    Cons

Terrible management, poor treatment of employees

    Advice to Management

Read some books on leadership - Tribal Leadership is a good start

    Pros

Some of the Co Workers (Not Management)

    Cons

Long hours. Salary people expected to work 60+ hrs/week. Very little appreciation of what it takes to get the job done. No real training, expected to do it right, and be done yesterday with no advance notice.Expected to do your job and the jobs of others that were just laid off or quit because they could not handle it since they are slow to hire replacements. No appreciation of the staff. The products sold to clients as a medicare advantage are better than the benefits offered to the employees. No budget for anything. Huge turnaround. Salary rate consistantly on the low end for the market for EEs.

    Advice to Management

Take better care of your "Capital"... They deserve much more than what you are offering. The turnaround in this economy should tell you enough about how the employees really feel. Pay your employees what they are worth and not what you can get away with.

    Pros

Across the country there are outstanding people doing the work that matters. These people put real effort and care into delivering for the members high quality healthcare at affordable rates.

    Cons

Company is being integrated into Humana which is principally an East/Mid-West company. There will be select opportunities just be aware of integration plans and comfortable with Humana comp and benefits.
