I have been working at Arch Telecom full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The commission can go as high as 15-16%, your forced to be very self reliant which may be uncomfortable at first -but it's a good thing in the long term.

    Cons

management is horrible, ego's are way to involved, status creates a disconnect between reps and decision makers, get paid by any means is usually the plan here, so expect a ton of angry customer BS and to get left in a few sticky situations if your not careful. Sprint is also really hard to sell because it barely works and their customer service is pretty much a joke, they can also take away your commission entirely if you get too many deactivations, so it's kind of easy for the ground to shrink beneath your feet, even if your good.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The organization as a whole needs to focus more on the individual(s) and less on the metrics, good customer experience & good employee experience will prevent a lot of nonsense that goes on now that doesn't have to. selling accessories and emerging devices doesn't help anyone if we don't get paid because of deacts.

I worked at Arch Telecom full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great place to start a career in the wireless technology industry and gain experience to find work with a more reasonable employer. You get the chance to work with new and exiting technology in a retail/technical environment and learn about sales/retail.

    Cons

Company offers no perks besides a paycheck and experience for your resume.
Arch Telecom has minimal respect for their employees and will always side with the customer over their own employees if it results in a sale. Commission pay out is almost non existent or impossible to reach. Even if you do surpass your commission goals for the month, Corporate is sure to find ways to nullify your commission. Arch Telecom has a history of fraud under a different company named "InTouch Wireless" before it changed to Arch Telecom. Company is known to give you an impossible amount of work in a day and hint at you clocking out after 8 hours so they don't have to pay you over time. If you do accumulate overtime, you can be sure that your time card will be edited.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management needs an entire overhaul and have their morals reexamined. Corporate seems to be all related by blood and offers no checks and balances.

    Pros

You get to work with Sprint products and services.

    Cons

The company is run terribly. Stay away if you can. They hire ex cons and drug addicts to manage the stores.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management IS the issue... If they can ever come to their senses maybe but when you work for a company that changes its name when it cant pay its bills the writing may already be on the walls.

    Cons

The have very high quotas to hit and will put all sorts of pressure on to get you to hit goal. I once had a manager almost threaten weekly just to motivate me to hit sales goals. I have to say the reason why i didn't was because of the dry location and

I worked at Arch Telecom full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Like every other review - accessory discounts are great

    Cons

    No 401K
    No health ins for everyone
No personal time when you are not working
    Poor vacation / PTO leave
    Poor HR Management
    Poor DM and RSD Management
Constant changing of commission structure every month
Stores are falling apart / displays / computers etc
Low hourly rates based on other premium retailers in the same industry
Sneaky way of making changes or doing things - Upper Management
Lack of company vision - they say one thing but do the other
    False hopes for advancement

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Company needs to really restructure the way they do things. Listen to the people you pay to support the stores. Change the upper management. Maybe adding a East Coast VP and West Coast VP - to much power for 1 person. Look at your RSD's are they really qualified to run the market? Probably not. Training dept and recruiting dept need to be stronger. More people in the field supporting the team like it was a year ago.
