    Pros

Work life balance is overall great, but then again most corporate environments in New Jersey can provide better perks

    Cons

Extremely high turnover, absolutely no mobility

I have been working at Archive Systems, Inc full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Fast paced work environment which is great for people who work hard and are driven by accomplishment. The company provides game-changing technology that is ahead of market demand. Great growth opportunity for top performers.

    Cons

Rapid growth consumes resources. B and C players struggle to keep up and can negatively impact morale. Being innovative creates an environment of continual change. Many average workers struggle in this climate. Sales success relies on smart, talented team members and the company hasn't always hired to that profile - which has led to consistent sales turnover.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue to drive innovation the market will respond.

I have been working at Archive Systems, Inc full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    The benefits have been acceptable.

    Cons

Lack of communication, no value in the employees. No matter ones potential or loyalty unless you're a sycophant and in the right cliques you will not progress within the company.

The pay rate of operations vs non-operations/corporations is absurd and maddening.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take care of and give back to your employees. We receive emails monthly about your new sales and new clients and quarterly meetings about the precious cubic feet but we have not seen much in return. This partially has to do with the high employee turnaround.

I worked at Archive Systems, Inc full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Work/life balance was decent as you could work from home occasionally or work on the road. Products and solutions definitely have value. Good benefits program.

    Cons

Management is absolutely terrible. No communication of expectations. No guidance. No training (products and services are complex in nature). Very cliquey and if you are independent (focused on work and not social hour) and don't play the game you will soon be a pariah and exposed. Also, management finds ways to not pay their salespeople commissions. There were 3 deals in particular that I personally uncovered, cultivated, and closed and was not paid for. Simply unacceptable.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop treating your salespeople like commodities and realize that they are the engine for growth for your organization. Try to create an environment with clearer communication. Stop changing strategies midway because you don't perceive them to be working (plans take time). And pay your employees what they are due!

    Pros

not a single thing at all

    Cons

Awful management, overpaid vp of sales who's role isnt needed. No sales manager, Terrible comp structure. No potential for commission and no hope for improving.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get a real manager in place not an overpaid staff of execs who spend all day in board meeting fluffing sales numbers so company can be sold in the future.

I have been working at Archive Systems, Inc full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

The company is growing. You can get promoted quickly if you produce. As an employee you have a voice when it comes to sales initiatives. Management supports the sales reps. Commissions are paid at the expected levels and on time. There is alot of excitement in the sales staff. It is a fun place to work if you have an entrepreneurial spirit.

    Cons

Archive Systems has a start-up mentality in its sales team. If you crave stability it is not the place for you. Who you are calling on and the product that you are selling can be different from one quarter to the next. Working in a remote market can make it tougher to get an answer to a question. You have to be a self-starter to thrive.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue to invest heavily in marketing.

I worked at Archive Systems, Inc full-time

    Pros

Great work-life balance and co-workers are friendly and enjoyable to work with.

    Cons

Inept management, limited mobility, lack of career objective. Your ability to learn and grow is highly depend on who you know and who likes you in upper management. Merit and skills play very little in determining an employee's chances of advancement. Unskilled poorly equipped managers are destroying the company and creating a toxic environment where morale is at an all time low. Company will never be a major player because forward thinking is foreign to this inferior culture.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Understand the importance of human capital. Engage ALL of your employees and show appreciation for loyalty to the organization. Develop an OBJECTIVE means of measuring performance and not rely on subjective personal vendettas. Failure to heed this advice means you are doom to be acquired by your competitors very very soon!

I worked at Archive Systems, Inc

    Pros

this is a company with a lot of potential; depending on a position you have you get a chance to work with multiple teams getting a better understanding of the whole process and the business, good offerings as far as the services/products

    Cons

not much chance for career advancement, 'closed circle' of managers, the company gets contradictory sometimes (they don't go in the same business direction as they are marketing themselves), too much of corporate politics present,

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

it would be great to see Archive excel in technology and focus more on technology, that is the future obviously, take comparison numbers more seriously (technology resources and customers vs. box resources and customers).
