    Pros

Autonomy in my work, excellent benefit package, dedicated senior staff, wonderful work environment. The company really cared about their employees.

    Cons

It was unfortunate that it all had to come to an end through a hostile takeover. However, once the acquisition happened, the employees were treated with respect and fairly.

    Advice to Management

I hope you all are doing well in whatever adventure you found after Archstone.

    I worked at Archstone

    Pros

Training was readily available for any situation, upper management was accessible and made the time to get to know the employees at all the properties, advancement was possible and the team was one big family.

    Cons

The company was bought out so it no longer exists. The only other con was the required corporate apparel - black suit and white shirt everyday gets old and our customers and residents felt it was stuffy.
