Pros – Was one on of the best and biggest in the industry and is unfortunate that Archstone is no longer.

Cons – The sale was a rough transition and the new owner is not service interested.

Pros – Great People, support and amazing benefits

Cons – Too Conservative at times. well

Advice to Senior Management – N/A

Pros – Good Benefits, medical, dental, 401. local managemetn

Cons – Commission based pay is difficult to work with, especially when Mangers makes all staff leasing consultants, and pays CSAs and AM for leases. Only the leasing consultant is commission based, and they now compete with the other members of the team.

Advice to Senior Management – If sharing leases, scrap commission based pay, and don't cheat the leasing agent, its their pay the managers are messing with.

Pros – Archstone truly values innovation and whole-heartedly honors its commitment to excellence in customer service. No other large-scale apartment company has yet been able to cultivate such a great corporate culture.

Associates are actively encouraged to find new and creative ways to delight customers, and money is made available to back up the promises made by teammates at all levels to customers.

If you like to work hard, have a great career path, and like to treat other people well, Archstone could be for you.

Cons – The company is being sold to two other real estate investment trusts.

Pros – talented people with a fair and obtainable bonus structure, company is innovative and always looking ahead at how to stay the leader in property management.

Cons – Some of the managers working with the company have become complacent and feel they are "owed" something just becuase they have been with the company for there adult lives.

Advice to Senior Management – good luck to all employees!!!

I have been working at Archstone full-time for more than 7 years

Pros – They seem to really care about their associates and creating a professional but fun environment. I have been here for 7 years and have really enjoyed it.

They put a lot of effort in to their GREAT customer service methodology from the top executives of the company down to the door men at the communities. There were also many different programs to encourage people to use good customer service and health incentives to help people live a healthy life.

Cons – Like any medium to large company politics and excessive processes can sometimes slow things to a crawl but not excessively.

Unfortunately Archstone is being sold and will no longer exist soon.

Pros – Wonderful people, quality assets, luxury brand. I have thoroughly enjoyed working for Archstone and feel quite satisfied with my learning experience.

Cons – Not an ideal ownership structure. Company recently entered into acquisition agreement.

Pros – Great team environment and flexibility to perform your job as preferred. Very highly focused on personal and professional growth

Cons – At times, on the job flexibility might allow other employees to follow the path of least resistance. Probably the same as other positions in order companies though.
