    Fun Place to work

Sales Associate (Former Employee) Bellevue, WA

ProsIf your young and you have a passion for fashion this is a great way to earn money while doing what you love.

ConsUnfortunately during the recession the quality of the clothes has gone down hill.Initially Arden B could compete with Bebe but now its borderline Forever 21 style and prices. They also no longer offer commission.

    Fashion Specialist Review

Fashion Specialist (Former Employee) Indianapolis, IN

ProsWhen I first started working there it was a fun environment. Everyone was easy to work with and we got along. We got all of our work done but could still have fun when business was slow. The manager was always easy to get along with.

ConsAfter some time, management changed and so did the style. A new manager came in and completely changed how we did things. She gave no warning or explanation of what she was changing, she just expected that we would all know what to do. It became a difficult environment to work in.

Advice to Senior ManagementStick to one management model and relay everything to the employees.

    made me hate fashion/retail

Sales Associate (Former Employee) Newport Beach, CA

ProsYou get to see how merchandise comes in and are surrounding by nice clothes.

ConsManagement was not supportive. I was a hard worker and always did what was necessary. Yet upper management seemed to have an attitude and rolled their eyes at me repeatedly like we were in high school. Much unneeded drama that is not suitable for the workplace. If you want you life to be like a reality show, go for it. Plus, no one even knows what Arden B is, so it was hard to attract customers inside and make sales.

Advice to Senior ManagementIt is crucial that your sales associates are motivated and treated with respect. The childish behavior at the lower management level greatly affects the well-being of your business. Establish a company culture that reflects better values.

    GREAT!!!

Sales Associate (Current Employee) Schaumburg, IL

ProsDiscount, schedule flexibility, fun environment, nice managers, meet new people every day, cool coworkers

I've had a few retail jobs and this is by far the best! Main manager keeps everyone working and distributes work pretty much evenly and is very nice and always listens to us. We're all expected to pull our weight but we're always thanked. It's a fun place to work!

ConsSome mean customers, extended mall hours during holiday, markdowns, cleaning up clearance area, have to change store around and managers say we don't get extra hours for this.

Advice to Senior ManagementGive us more hours
