I have been working at Aricent

    Pros

    Flexible work culture
Diverse Portfolio.. if you are lucky enough, you can get a chance to work on cutting edge and next generations technologies
Decent Onsite Opportunities (But only for those who regularly demand for onsite)
Many tools available for tax saving
Most of times, bonus is more than 100% for high performers and at par for average performers

    Cons

Too many people at high level and most of them seems redundant
    Salary Disparity among peers
    very less collaboration across teams

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Do something about salary disparity, it is leading to lot of frustration in the company.
Try to be proactive rather than reactive to take care of employee interests.

I have been working at Aricent full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Learning programming tools for a fresher

    Cons

A lot of time is wasted as requirements are not specified completely of what is to be done. It seems as if they think of employees as machines. Have to stay in the company office even if the assignment is done.
No proper communication with the managers, employees are expected to seek information from peers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Appreciate the problem solving approach.
Though the management talks about efficiency of algorithms they never appreciate good algorithms and there is no recognition of people with good problem solving skills. It is as if the management just wants the work to be done.

Current Employee - Software Engineer in Gurgaon, Haryana (India)

I have been working at Aricent full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Aricent first training for freshers is surely one of the best in the country . Classroom style teaching with 75% pass criteria makes it competitive and u can easily master c ,c++ and unix concept.Even training after training is excellent .

Aricent cater some of the best clients in the world ,from telecom giants such as CISCO, ALU to consumer electronics such as SAMSUNG,TI and even automobile as in GM ,so there are ample opportunities for freshers to grow their career.

Work Life depends on project . But flexible timing will let u sleep more (essential for software development) .

    Cons

Resource management is poor ,only thing they care about is to put you on client bill from the very first day .Skill matching is not priority . There is huge uproar about charge code in the company.

Perks are not that great . But timely promotions and gud ratings will keep u at par with the industry .

Beware of middle management ,its one of the worst . lot of power invested in middle management and they have a major say in ur performance ,no matter how good or bad it will be .

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Good work culture specially useful for freshers. Good chances to learn and improve in the telecom domain. Good opportunities for onsite.

    Cons

Lot of normalisation on the pay scale after working for a few years. Employee satisfaction not always a priority. Not much bench life, so better to be billed.
