    I worked at Aristotle International

    Pros

Aristotle has a knack for hiring good people. They may not have the experience necessary for the positions that they are hired into but they are genuinely good people.

    Cons

Aristotle is a "tech company" that refuses to acquire, train, and maintain legitimate "tech people". The company is run by marketing and sales people. This causes an abundance of preventable outages, losses of data, and unnecessary workarounds. Because Aristotle builds compliance software this type of penny pinching is detrimental to their clients.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

My advice would be to hire more experienced (or train and retain your current) programmers, database specialists, and support professionals. In the tech field professional development is key and Aristotle is 10- 15 years behind the times. Without a major change Aristotle will start to lose business to competitors such as NationBuilder and NGP VAN.

I worked at Aristotle International as a contractor (more than a year)

    Pros

I worked at Aristotle for about a year. The members of my team were generally great and there was great camaraderie. Also, because I was a contractor, I was able to claim overtime to the tune of 60% or more of my pay.

    Cons

During the time I was there, an extremely incompetent person who would sleep at their desk, drink at work, and who kept a workspace full of liquor bottles and chip crumbs was promoted to be my manager. When I started and when this person became my manager both, I was promised to be converted from contract or at least given a raise after one year of work. When that time arose, I was denied. I subsequently left the company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Promote a moreprofessional environment in the office. Interact with employees at all levels more.

I have been working at Aristotle International full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

location, upper management, upward mobility, flexibility

I think the brothers are amazing to work for. They are personable, caring and brilliant. There is a reason people stay at Aristotle for many years, or even leave and come back. If you prove yourself, they will do whatever it takes to keep you and keep you happy. I started at a lower position and have gotten promotions and raises that in line with where I should be.

They are also very flexible with schedules. I am luckily able to work from home as much as I want, which is a nice option. I often do not, because I find it harder to work that way.

    Cons

no match on 401k, healthcare plan is not great, office needs remodeling (this is the plan for this year, so that is changing)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Match on 401k
