    Cons

    hours lack family time
    bad location (crime)
corporate only cares about money, not employees
corporate not involved in serious matters
too much micromanaging but no involvement to change anything to make it better

    Advice to Management

On site management is awesome. Care about their teams, each person individually, for "corporate" management who really is a waste of company money, if they want to monitor each team, they need to more efficiently, not just when they want to "control" and make everyone miserable.

  2. Degrading for the most part. Lack of management skills from management. In other words a Mickey Mouse operation.

    Pros

Students definitely. It feels like a accomplishment when multiple students come to you and tell you that they landed a job and that it was your teaching that provided the skills to make them the tradesmen that they are.

    Cons

Definitely management and fellow co workers. This place is run by a guy who if you are not with him you are against him, he will put other coworkers against you and make you alienated to the point of wanting to leave the job. If by chance this school could get the Hitler type of mentality out of the department this could be a very good place to work. This is not possible due to the fact that the main guy in charge likes the drama and is not willing to talk to anyone about these issues. He is probably the worst business leader i have come across in the 20 years plus i have been in this trade and if it wasn't for government funding from the accreditation board this business would have been out of business a long time ago.

    Advice to Management

Get real team leaders in leadership positions that have the students best interests in mind and not there own agenda. Listen to the students instead of faculty when a problem takes place. Its a sad place to work when the weak are strong.

    Pros

-helping students achieve their goals and dreams
    -the family atsmosphere amongst comrades

    Cons

    -Lack of leadership
    -Dishonesty amongst bosses
    -uncertainty with job security
-lack of ability to move up
-the financial state of the company
-lack of ability to increase salary
    -blatant double standards and favoritism

    Advice to Management

Get in together and pratice what you preach. You can't do the same thing over and over again and expect different results. Get to know other departments in the school so you not only understand others, but truly be able to work together.

    Pros

Close to home, and they will work on your car. The instructors are knowledgeable.

    Cons

Numbers are never enough, they always want more. As management changes there is never improvements.

    Advice to Management

Get management that cares about their team members.
