I worked at Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa part-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

A fun place to work, drive dream cars, meet VIP's and get a workout!

    Cons

Uniforms at the time were very plain; no communications devices (at the time) were provided

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please invest in guard gates for valet lot despite the cost; take a look at the high end resorts around the world and invest in the best uniforms possible for the valet, doorman and bell staff! Put the "wow" in the guest from the very beginning with a professional lasting look.

I worked at Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

    Beautiful property.
Prestige if you're into that superficial stuff.

    Cons

No real room for advancement. They will promise you the world in the interview, but it all ends up being lateral.

It was my first time working for a hotel, so I suppose it could be like this everywhere, but the way that guests are treated is pretty appalling. I found it difficult at times to bite my tongue when the resort quite purposefully treated people terribly and passed it off as a mistake.

Hours were kind of horrible. Promised a steady shift when interviewing, and then end up working 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift all in the same week for a year.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take care of your people. They will take care of you.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
