    Pros

Workers are very friendly and welcoming. It's easy to fit in and get close to everyone. Making sales and commission isn't hard at all.

    Cons

Management does not know how to communicate between each other. Many times I would be written up or have a warning for not calling out of work ahead of time, when I told a shift manager ahead of time and they said they would pass the message to the respective shift manager for that day.

    Advice to Management

Learn to leave good notes and stop hiring Store Managers based of favorites.

I have been working at Armani Exchange full-time

    Pros

The discounts on the clothing. Given a free outfit every three months, and every month 70% off a few items, 50% a few more and 35% off of everything else. Most people that work there are easy to get along with.

    Cons

Low pay. Only 1% commission on sales and only received the commission if you reached the sales goal of $200 an hour. If you worked an opening or closing or an overnight restocking those hours you are in the store that it isn't open, those hours count as hours that sales need to be reached to get the commission.

    Pros

I guess the only good thing I can say is that they worked around your schedule

    Cons

They base your hours off of your weekly sales, so it is very competitive, especially if you are a part time sales associate. Usually the full time employees have more experience and end up stealing your sales, barely got one day a week. Not a great place to work, the managers did not really care about you, mostly just meeting their sales to not look bad.

    Pros

Great family environment, make it teamwork and you'll enjoy

    Cons

You definitely must focus in the organizational skills, to help you close the sale and the day, particular about the displays

    Pros

Great discounts and opportunities to make bonus. I've been working retail for a long time sbd by far this was my favorite experience as a manager. Most companies say that they want someone with an entrepreneurial mind set but then micro manage every aspect of the day running of the store. But this was the first time I was really able to nake decision that could really impact the bottom line. I didn't have to keep product on display or in my prime selling real estate just because someone in corporate who has no idea what works at my location made a decision that's what they liked. My upper management was always willing to let you try something different to see if it worked unless it went against company policy.

    Cons

No work life balance salaried managers expected to work way above 40 hours even during the slow seasons. I didn't like the fact that managers were forced to take sales away from our sales associate to meet sales goals. The commission we made was $12 but for a sales associate it would make a bigger difference and I always felt guilty about that when it was slow. I also didn't like the tenure system that was in place you get rewarded or promoted based on who's been there the longest not by who performs the best. Also the policy of only wearing current A/X merchandise that is still on the floor is excessive. I would by something on monday and if sold out tuesday I couldn't wear it anymore. Yes we had a generous discount but I ended up wasting so much of my hard earned money on clothes I wore only once or twice.

    Advice to Management

When a new employee knows no matter how hard they work the person who was there before them will get the best hours they don't work that hard and when an employee who's been there for a while knows that he will get the best hours because he's been there the longest he doesn't work as hard. You create an atmosphere where no one is working at 100% and the store suffers as a result. Because we're not generating as much revenue as we could. Loyalty is great but show your appreciation with a gift card, cake, etc. But reward your employees based on performance

  10. Cool company. Sometimes it can get competitive for sales, especially if your store is in a mall that doesn't get busy.
