I worked at Armani Exchange part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Best benefits in terms of employee discount. I've worked in many different retail positions and Armani Exchange had the best employee discounts of any company I've heard about or have previously experienced. Employee discount includes: 5 free "employee uniform" items per month, 40% other items, and 25% off clearance. Pretty incredible for sure. The employee discount and getting the experience of working in retail is the only positive aspect I can say about working at Armani.

    Cons

Because AX tends to attract the trashiest customer base, I.E.: Guidos, Jersey Shore types, Gangsters and ghetto types of all foreign ethnicities it makes working there pure hell. I've never been so disrespected and debased at any job before. It's disgusting to be entirely honest with you. The management was horrendous and treated you badly which I even had to tell them up front to please not talk to me that way and be more respectful something I've never felt a need to do anywhere else. It's just overall a bad retail position to have however I did work only during the Holiday seasonal period which of course had something to do with my bad experience at Armani. Also their "commision" program is the worst most bs commission system I've ever seen. No one in the entire store made commission there and therefore no one was kept on board past the holiday season. Inefficient business practice if you ask me.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat your employees much better, they're human too, train them from day one instead of relying on them knowing it all from the beginning, don't have them work until 2am after the store closed at 9. That's ridiculous. Pay them better than $8 per hour with zero commission.

I have been working at Armani Exchange part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Discounts are hands down the best part. They are better than H&M, Guess, Express, and other similar companies.
They pay commission which is doable depending on location, traffic, and staff.
    Fast paced environment.
Able to meet people through selling.
Commission is hard to hit, but is a decent bonus.

    Cons

All the folding is probably the worst part given that it can be pretty tedious.
It is hard to get consistent hours, you have to be on top on your game.
Customers can get very annoying sometimes.

the store i worked at was in a very slow paced mall. when hiring me for part time they were not clear on how many hours i would be working. this caused me to leave when they did not give me enough hours, although i always met my goals.
