I have been working at Armanino McKenna full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Working at AMLLP I had the opportunity to try new career paths with support from managers and partners. Encouragement abounds at AMLLP. If you're passionate about a field or specialty, you can take an entrepreneurial approach, with support from your mentors and peers. There is a great work/life balance. This is a great place to work no matter how far into your career you are: you will have opportunities to learn, grow, or plant roots and be part of something great for years to come.

    Cons

Compensation is good, if you know and can prove your worth.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep the family-friendly environment, keep to the "old roots" of the companies founders.

I have been working at Armanino McKenna full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Tons of opportunities - not just your typical Audit or Tax firm.
    Flexible - schedule, industries, telecommute

    Cons

    Keeping up with the growth.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to the employees - whatever they have to say. You may not want to hear it, but some people want to make improvements (not just complain).

I have been working at Armanino McKenna

    Pros

A company that has made a number of smart moves in the way of expansion. The internal staff is very pleasant to work with. They always seem to bend over backwards to get you want you need. Overall a good place to start a career at the entry level.

    Cons

Not a sales culture. Employee recognition is very light. Performance Management is simply a check box. There is a lot of disconnect between management and the staff on the ground doing the day to day work. Management seems more caught up on rankings in the industry rather than team building and rewards for great work done. Also benefit contribution seems to be expensive.

    I worked at Armanino McKenna

    Pros

AMLLP is a good place to learn the basics of tax/audit/financial advisory. Also a good place to get exposure to tech clients.

    Cons

AMLLP is now no different than a Big 4 accounting firm, i.e., your worth is estimated by the number of billable hours that you have.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop trying to make the staff (who have accounting mind sets and demeanor) to be sales people. Less stress on hourly goals
