    I worked at Arrow Electronics

    Pros

Arrow Electronics gives various opportunities of practice enhancing or sharpening one's knowledge. It also offers over times increasing salaries or tips.

    Cons

Too many sources of instruction causing not only workers to be stressful, and frustrated., but also work itself to boring.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I have been working at Arrow Electronics

    Pros

Long term employee, good salary, great benefits. Cutting edge of up and coming business technologies (internet marketing, IoT, television commercials.) Sound business strategies, fair to employees.

    Cons

Part of a large culture, lots of inexperienced new people makes it difficult to get things completed at times.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep doing what you are doing

Good Benefits package and somewhat decent work place environment

    Cons

Terrible middle management and upper management is disconnected from employees. Very outdated technology

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get it together and make established rules with no flex for certain individuals. Also, listen to suggestions from employees on culture issues as well as how to improve job function.

    Cons

Employees are treated poorly and unappreciated.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give the people doing all of the manual labor a break. management is always flexing there power for silly things. Let us do your job while you tell us what we already know. Do i want to use the bathroom? Yes please, let me walk from 1 stall to another 1 stall for 30 mins untill i find a place to park because you cannot afford more stalls. Do we want to have more fun and gifts? Yes but it never happens even when you say it will. do we want the raise that was promised to us 1 year ago? uhh duh i do. stop prolonging it and keeping a carrot in-front of everyone face.(the Carrot is made of plastic)

    Pros

Large company with lots of opportunities. Has a large competitive line card for the Industry. Pay is decent but used to be better.
    Onsite cafateria. Good benefits.

    Cons

Once was a good place to work but a lot of the experienced employees left or were let go. They replaced them with young people from outside the industry just because they could pay them less. Terrible mistake. Caused a rift between old and new and the new couldn't handle the workload. Bad additiudes and poor work ethics caused deteriation of the work environment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Learn about your employees and what motivates them. Lead by example. Work to reduce the turnover and model changes every year. Too confusing and frustrating for employees.

    Pros

Good health insurance and a cafeteria if you work in "building 1".

    Cons

Mgmt is bottom of the rung. Many have no education and have mastered office politics in a bad way to get where they are at. No advancement opportunities overall.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take some real management classes. You are no longer in high school. When you say you're going to do xxx, actually do it and follow through.

    Pros

I worked with CDW and NetApp and it was a great experience. the culture and the team was a combination of work hard and play hard. I was given the freedom to work on an outside project the help both Arrow and NetApp manage the channel better.

    Cons

Team changes which i guess was nature of channel with people cycling in and out of various manufactures and/partners.
