    Pros

Looks like a nice small family company, very pleasant during the interview.

    Cons

driven by fear, working there could be a nightmare, no wonder they moved from baltimore, they had the disposable reputation over there.

I have been working at Ascellon full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Good compensation with the understanding contract could end at any time and you could be out of a job at any time.

    Cons

No employee training program. A culture of fear and intimidation. No clear communication and direction is provided. Very high turn over rate. Employes are not properly trained and if they make mistake they are blamed and summarily dismissed. The rate of travel advertised during the interview process is 65 percent, but in actuality it is closer to 100 percent. I have seen dozens of employees come and go during my time with the company. I would not recommend this company based on these facts.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Improve new and existing training program (currently non-existent). Improve communication with employees. Provide leadership and direction and support a more open environment free of fear and intimidation.

I worked at Ascellon full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

The people were nice and the hours were flexible.

    Cons

Unprofessional. Nurses were hired and promised long term work and then were laid off not even 2 weeks later. The owner presents himself as very professional and stresses professionalism during the interview but doesn't exhibit it himself. During the whole confusion with the contract and subsequent lay off, he never once addressed the employees to explain what was going on. He had the HR team do all the dirty work. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Exhibit the same professionalism that you demand from your employees.

    I worked at Ascellon

    Pros

It's a job and you'll get paid in a timely manner.

    Cons

This is a small family owned business. The CEO and COO are married, although you will only find this out after you've been there for a while. Management constantly snipes about employees behind their backs - there is a small trusted group of administrative personnel, not sure you'd want to join the inner circle here, but if so it will take months of kissing up, so bring chap stick.

The company has about half of their staff in the local area and an equal number of remote contractors.

If you get a chance ask about the turnover ratio prior to accepting a position - you'll find the remote staff has been pretty stable, I'm guessing that they don't have to deal with the day to day crap, but the local staff is like a revolving door.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Wouldn't even know where to start with this team.

I have been working at Ascellon

    Pros

    Cons

If you are slow to catch on and you are not a go-getter, this is not the job for you.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep up the good work and remember that not all employees are ready for the opportunities the company provides.
