    Pros

Great work life balance, Great Place to Learn Business Knowledge: Management System, Sales Strategy, Labor Efficiency, Cost Savings, etc

    Cons

You will NEVER be on TOP unless you're related with the family or been a good friend with family. Salary is differentiate by Passport (Not Knowledge): Indian & Taiwanese = High Salary; Indonesian = Low Salary.

    Advice to Management

Reduce Indian & Taiwanese employees. Many local employees are smarter than them.

    Pros

If you have the knowledge and skills in the related field, then no worry about the job security. You're very needed and you'll gain salutation from subordinates.

    Cons

If you're good, that means you'll work harder as well. You work for the company as well as for those who are hired with highly paid but know nuts about their jobs. Compensation and your hard work won't be matching and you have no proper channel to convey the messages.

    Advice to Management

Keep your eyes opened and don't live on your own way of managing anymore. Try to study and see how MNC manage and succeed. Military-style management is totally not applicable in some regions. Standardize the recruitment procedures and make the entry requirements more stringent. Don't simply hire someone without knowledge/skills but just because that person is a relative or closed friend of a senior manager, VP, or PD.

    Pros

    1. You got few good and smart people working with you and you will be able to learn a lot from them provided they are not harassed by headquarter
    2. Compensation and benefit could be very competitive if you join this company in the right time and right position
    3. Career opportunity could be possibly rewarding

    Cons

    1. Endless and ridiculous target setting from upper management could easily confuse employees
    2. Lots of repetitive pointless meeting with extremely short notice occupied all your time
    3. Reporting line is a mess
    4. Company culture is not friendly to new comer, orientation is nothing and training is surprisingly weak

    Advice to Management

    1. Recruit people you trust only and once they join trust them fully, delegation is everything for company with this size
    2. Stop all the micro-management activities immediately as it will only hamper subordinates' morale
    3. Do not promise much but once you do you follow through
    4. Performance comes from daily activities and work site, not from meeting room. Having meeting all day long generate not even one penny

    Pros

    Decent pay and housing package.

    Cons

Not very encouraging to new comers.
Company has low moral due to never ending target setting.
    Confusing directions from the top.
Little guidance, would not recommend this company for one's first full time job.

    Advice to Management

Should treat customers and employees with more respect and stop trying to cheat customers and employees.

    Pros

    Massive buying and production power
    $14 billion in sales volume
    The remuneration is fair

    Cons

Horrific management style that continually changes at the whim of the overly aggressive owners.
Its not the knowledge that you carry, its the B.S. that you spew that will get you anywhere in this company.
There aren't any values associated with this company that many would look at this company for a long-term career. People in positions of power in the North American market should be held accountable...every year its the same old stories from the same old tired, worn out managers trying to save their jobs. Ex-professionals coming in as managers or VP's to markets because of 'favors' and produce nothing but turmoil and good stories of previous false achievements. If you truly want to take the market (like they say they do) reward the ones that bring you the business, not the ones with good stories.

    Advice to Management

Promote from knowledge, not from hearsay. The Asian model may be a good thing in the Asian markets, no doubt, it does not work in the North American markets. So to continually send people over to 'tell; us like it is' only creates an unproductive team that could produce double in North America

    Pros

Great learning place, lots of opportunities to learn various segments of business processes. Supportive team mates.

    Cons

Too much negative feelings in the atmosphere. Employee satisfaction are surprisingly low. Benefits are second to none. High and repetitive workloads.

    Advice to Management

Need to place more responsibilities to lower managements. Give more thought on employee's well-beings.

    Pros

Good relationships with the US team, great product if you can wait 4 to 6 weeks if your lucky

    Cons

To many to mention but APP NIngbo does not know the US market, they send in expensive unqualified people from corp and agencies to figure out what - but the answers are within the US sales team - IF they can hire people who know paperboard

    Advice to Management

I have been a part of APP going back to the late 1990's to 2013 either selling their product or working for them and they come to the US market not knowing and not listening, they will never capture more than 2 to 4% of the US market because you "must build for them to come" and not 7000 miles away
