    Pros

Nice office space and pay well to attract people

    Cons

Their no vacation policy means you get a vacation only on the whim of your manager
No real products. They are a spam site who feed on Google algo's
IAC bankers call the shots. No long term plans as the NYC bankers who run the company are too focused on beating last quarter.
Complete lack of motivation from most of the staff due to a lackluster leadership team

    Advice to Management

Make your execs accountable and make them work! You have a CTO and COO with no respect from their organizations, accountable for no deliverables, and showing no visible leadership skills. Maybe expect them to stay beyond 5pm once in a while.

    Pros

My co-workers are extremely intelligent and some of the smartest, forward-thinking individuals I've met and I think they really make the difference. The leadership is always partnering (or acquiring) new companies which shows the strength of the company strategy. The office is brand new, remodeled ... I enjoy coming to work everyday and there's a lot of independence (no micro-managing).

    Cons

I want to push my career towards being a manager and think I need more training and development which last year, there wasn't much unless I went out and did it on my own (but they have tuition reimbursement - haven't used it yet) but lately there's been more internal training announcements so I think they're working on improving this.

    Advice to Management

Celebrate your all-stars more publicly. It's great when my manager and team know the win's that myself or one another has but it'd be nice if we could share that with the rest of the company more.

    Pros

Ask offers great compensation and annual bonuses. The people are the most valuable asset. The culture is great and there's always something fun happening around the office. The office is newly remodeled and looks great. The work-life balance is pretty reasonable and most teams are able to be flexible with work hours.

    Cons

There is absolutely no career development. Promoting from within, especially to the executive level, is rare. HR leadership is incompetent and entirely tactical, not strategic. Resources are spent on acquisitions and adding fuel to the SEM fire. There's no room for creativity or innovative thinking. Inexperience and incompetence of leadership is often overlooked due to office politics.

    Advice to Management

Invest in career development programs. Employees want to grow their careers, not just the company's bottom line. Promote more from within. Try to be more innovative with new products. Hold leadership accountable for incompetence and try not to make business decisions based on office politics.

    Pros

Very low ego individual contributors. I enjoyed interacting with fellow employees and still think of my time at Ask very positively. Some of the best people you'll ever meet.

    Cons

Abysmal HR leadership and an irrelevant product. Let the UX team revamp the site! It desperately needs it!

    Advice to Management

Don't be so terrified of harming SEM. Google one day will drop the hammer on adword policy, as it has several times in the past. You need to revamp the product and not depend on acquisitions for everything.

    Pros

I don't have any reason to work here except technologies and domain

    Cons

The HR team is failing to hire talented resources from market. They been offering Cognizant resources as full time employees, they are the main reason for full-time employees can't continue here. They recently converted untalented cognizant resource as Engineering manager.

    Advice to Management

Please stop converting Cognizant resources . You must know they are goon in politics not have technical skills.

    2. Work-life balance -- You aren't expected to work extra hours. It's 'whatever gets the job done' here!

There aren't any cons that I can think of.
