I worked at Aspiranet full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Co-workers were very positive and upbeat and work well as a team much of the time. Received lots of interesting training that was useful in the work. Enjoyed the group supervision time to discuss cases with the licensed supervisor.

    Cons

3-4 hour meetings that interfere with meeting with clients. Leadership is poor and more than willing to lie to make themselves look good to their managers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Do away with the "Productivity" and allow individuals to do their job. Keep the Program Managers out of the group supervision unless the group agrees to have them participate.

Working with autistic children is rewarding when you see the positive behavior changes in the child.

I worked at Aspiranet full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Making a difference in childrens' lives.

    Cons

At sattelite offices you are at the mercy of the District Director, who may or may not, be an ethical or fair person. Their actions are not always known by the top heavy, upper management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to what your employees are willing to share with you about their experiences. Combine jobs in Human Resources rather than micro-managing.

I have been working at Aspiranet

    Pros

Aspiranet is a fair experience for undergraduate students who are interested in a career in the field of mental health or social work. Although the pay is not competitive, the experience and knowledge earned int he field of Autism behavioral intervention is rewarding and job experience for future careers in the field.

    Cons

    Pay isn't competitive.
No benefits if you are part-time.
No room for growth without an advanced degree
Little training offered when hired, but this aspect has greatly improved

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Yearly raises would be a nice incentive. Also, more administrative responsiblities or job duties would be beneficial.

    Pros

helping at risk youths to succeed in society. Dealing with youths that have committed vilations against society.

    Cons

benefits package is abysmal especially the retirement package. There is none. Medical benefits are also veyr poor. They lacking envision and innovation with the rest of other companies. Salary is low and you only get a moderate pay raise 3, 5 and 10 years. After the 10th year, their are no more raisesand it is only 5% raise which does not keep up with inflation. turnover rate is very high due the poor salary, benefits and stress one is under.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Communication is lacking

I have been working at Aspiranet full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Working with children and families to help them better their situations

    Cons

A lot of favoritism, not a lot of room for growth, being micro managed,

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more aware of who you have running the different regions and locations. There are numerous upper management that are out for themseleves and not for what is best for clients or staff. There are some supervisors around that do not exhibit appropriate boundaries with their staff members, but are able to conitnue in the position with no recourse, while front line staff are getting in trouble for similar occurances or things that did not happen.
