I worked at Asseco full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Asseco is a big international company, opportunity to work with people from other countries, opportunity to work in the banking environment.
During my time working overtime was an exception, it happened during end phase of project .
    The people are very friendly.

    Cons

Asseco Romania, banking department had during 2011-2014 three periods were they lost huge number of people.
This happen because managers when not happy and left with 3, 4-10 members of the team.
This generated a huge loss of know how both internally and externally with the old customers.
Asseco lost about 50% of is customers and more that 60% of the core people in 3 years so the trend is clearly negative .

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

None. They know the problems , they tried to fix them, but they did not manager ( maybe bad luck, maybe lack of skills...).

I think I should have moved more and learned more in my carrier. Asseco doesn't innovate enough, in new tech.

    Pros

The people are nice, with great domain knowledge.

    Cons

They need to follow new trends in software.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Have people start thinking outside the box. Also, put people with domain knowledge in front of those with tech expertise.

I worked at Asseco full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

inexhaustible source of funny stories, Dilbert in real environment
    decent money,
    interesting, clever ppl,
work life balance (but depends on the specific project - some ppl can leave at 5pm, some are overloaded by work for months)
    interesting, challenging, big IT projects
good knowledge of the brand in Poland, however, this differs country to country

    Cons

no interest in employees is the main characteristic of this company, constant distrust, thinking about employees as of a band of cheaters who want to ruin the company
It is an international company, though, established trough merging different firms over Europe - this means lack of a common strategy, culture, lack in communication.
Management is genarally poor, there are some extraordinary ppl - like the CEO, but he probaly lacks the ability to find right co-workers. Normally, one goes left, the other one right... its a tug of war...
Career path - poor and inscrutable... its better not to be promoted in this company: normally it means the same money and more stress. Very often you are forced to resign after couple of months for no apparent reason.
Dependence on the political situation in the specific country as they deliver mostly for governments
