Pros
the have good salaries compared to other companies in the area
Cons
Senior Management does not really care about future welfare of the comany
Pros
great pay
good benefits
very intelligent and hard working middle management
casual work environment
ability to make changes and decisions without a lot of red tap
Cons
The top management is highly compensated beyond normal and their goals are not for what is best for the true growth of the company but for their own pockets
not enough money is put back into the company for improvements
not enough people resources
top management rarely work a full week - but all others expected to put in extreme hours
Advice to Senior Management
Until the company is owned by someone not looking to flip the company for profit - quite sure management won't heed any advice.
Pros
National company with the opportunity to transfer to almost any state
Opportunity for bonuses
Cons
Too many corporate employees & not enough distribution center staff--ridiculous since the centers are where the money is made.
Expensive medical coverage
Minimal opportunities for advancement
Executive mgmt often makes knee-jerk reactions
Upper mgmt can be less than professional and disrespectful
Advice to Senior Management
Be PROactive instead of reactive
Just because it's always been done that way does not make it right
Develop more long-term vision
Learn to appreciate employees outside of the Cuyahoga Falls building
Management needs to be more respectful of personnel
Pros
Benefits were OK. Medical s a little pricey, but good coverage. Large company with good bonus payout. Supply centers are the best place to work if you want long term employment.
Cons
Promotion not merit based. Upper management not loyal to empoyees. VERY short term focused. Long term strategies developed by middle managers, and then vetoed for no apparent reason by upper management because they won't realize benefits this month. Emotion based decision making rather than fact based decision making.
Advice to Senior Management
Get back to what made this a great company; long term growth strategies. Make decisions that will give you benefits this year and next. Stop chopping your staff to the point that you can barely function. The CEO has resonably good vision about the future, its the second tier of leadership that is making bad decisions.
Pros
Great policy on vacation and sick time. Benefits are decent. No weekends. Decent yearly bonus.
Cons
No loyalty to employees. No room for advancement. Upper management is to be desired. Supervisors are a joke. Always changing environment (and not for the better). Stressful and demanding for little reward. Reputation for firing employees with no logical reason. Turn-over rate is EXTREMELY high.
Advice to Senior Management
Appreciate your employees more. Go by the phrase, "If it's not broken don't fix it. Stop promoting people who don't deserve it. Bring back raises.
Pros
Fair wages and benefits.
Plenty of training opportunities.
Cons
Inept upper management in some locations.
Corporate culture that supports "favoritism" based on the wrong merits.
Poor internal communication.
Absolutely NO initiative in improving infrastructure; all focus on profit and little else.
Advice to Senior Management
Learn what is actually happening at the lowest level and accept responsibility instead of passing the buck down the line.
