Advice to Senior Management
Too disconnected from reality
Pros
Good flexible work arrangements are available.
Cons
The company is very sensitive to the needs of stockholders and responds accordingly; namely workforce reduction.
Pros
Great benefits, great communication between mgmt & employees
Cons
Some senior roles take their job for granted
Advice to Senior Management
Have more one on ones with the employees
Pros
Great company with solid brands that make a difference in patient life
Cons
Diversity plays a role when interviewing within the company. This limits great candidates opportunity to grow.
Advice to Senior Management
Create additional regional opportunities for your field sales team that cannot move to Wilmington
Pros
Very good management team; good warefare comparing with local compaies; hamoneous relationship among colleagues; always be respeted.
Cons
the company may not offer very competitive salary, while the payment package is good, comaring with local companies.
supporting functions are not well paid.
Advice to Senior Management
The high level mangement team is really good, but the junior managers are so so...
Generally speaking, it's a good place to work.
Pros
Strong training programs, great pipeline for the future stability of the company.
Cons
A great deal of waisted time in justifing one's job. Sales numbers aren't all that is important to mangement a gret deal of big brother watching.
Advice to Senior Management
Discussions from the field up needs to be encouraged by mangement allowing stratagies to be changed meeting the needs of the physician and not a marketing manager.
Pros
work with you to suceed
Cons
I needed a larger territory
Advice to Senior Management
none
Pros
A full bag of products. Managers seemed to genuinely care. The sales training program was robust for the pharma industry
Cons
Overall, I did not like the pharma sales process irregardless of the company. Not much room for advancement within AZ.
Advice to Senior Management
It may be prudent to look at another means of accessing physicians. The old model of waiting for the physician does not work anymore.
Pros
good training that is ongoing
good work life balance
excellent products
Cons
Nothing ever seems good enough
arrogant culture
dont like people with different opinions to their own
boys club
Advice to Senior Management
break the mould.one glove does not fit all
Pros
Everyone was very helpful in making me feel comfortable and helping me get used to the new work environment. It also seems like most of the people are pretty happy to come in to work and there is a sense of pride for working for AstraZeneca. The company's growth and market share in China is also very strong.
Cons
It seems that there are some time of the year that are much more busy than others. Employees are often expected to stay and work much later hours without too much incentive to do so.
Advice to Senior Management
I had a good experience with the company and I think that it is a good company to work for that has a lot of room to grow, especially in China.
