    Pros

    Flexibility to work from home

    Cons

unstable work environment and constant turnover.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Set a plan that is achievable and stop changing working and reporting structures for the sake of change.
This has led to low employee engagement and low productivity.

I have been working at AstraZeneca full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Conservative company with long history of success. Senior management team is strong and has vision for future return to growth. Good benefits and many opportunities if willing to be flexible. One of the best "big-pharma" companies to work for. Historically very stable and fair place to work.

    Cons

Very difficult to advance in the sales organization. Limited pipeline and loss of patent exclusivity leads to feelings of job insecurity. Lower pay than other pharma companies. Slow to make changes. The technology and IT support in place is challenging to say the least.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The senior sales leadership team is very good. Middle management lacks vision and leadership. Work to improve communication and do not rely on the company's home page and email alerts as the main vehicle to provide faith in the future.

I have been working at AstraZeneca full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Good company, some real bad mangers in tough to fill geographies

    Cons

Lower salaries, bonus getting harder to make. Lots of fuzzy

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Some micro management issues killing sales/reps...time consuming trackers tracking information already being captured and tracked by the database.
Many great leaders but some really poor ones in geographies that are tough to fill.

I have been working at AstraZeneca full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Amazing company to work for. Management strives to help you succeed, in constant contact to see how you're doing and how they can help. Benefits are great, hours are great, work is fairly easy, pay is very good for what you do.

    Cons

Lots of focus on numbers, but that's to be expected in this industry.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Learn your markets - some locations in the US (specifically the midwest) have poor access/sampling opportunities with drugs. Quit penalizing your workers because of decisions made by hospitals not to accept samples anymore.
