Pros
flexible, dynamic, lean and not bureaucratic
Cons
limited opportunity for career growth
Pros
Excellent program, good physical plant,
Cons
No marketing plan nor business plan to move into the future or provide strength to maintain the viability of the franchise location. Inability to attract good staff due to wages/benefits. Operational funding and support is right on the edge of none.
Advice to Senior Management
Create a marketing plan, strategic business plan, and find the funding to create a strong company with ability to maximize penetration into the market.
Pros
Great people to work with at Astral,
Cons
lack of communication to employees
Advice to Senior Management
Good efforts to make it fun..
Pros
The hours are flexible and the benefits are good although not amazing. Very decent vacation time is given to you.
Cons
You are not recognized properly for the work you do. There are plenty of employees who work hard and have been at the company for years. Instead of promoting these employees, the company will instead hire from outside the company who sometimes have even less qualification. Raises and promotions are very hard to come by!
Advice to Senior Management
Please promote the people who deserve it
Pros
very well structured, great brands, fun environment to work in, great office location.
Cons
hard to move up to director or VP level because no one quits and they rarely let anyone go!
Advice to Senior Management
Keep it up.
Pros
Compensation is great and work-life balance is excellent. Management gives you autonomy which is suitable for a self-reliant and resourceful person. Not a lot of red tape.
Cons
If you are not a self-reliant and resourceful person, you may find the lack of structure and support difficult to navigate. Nobody will hold your hand to teach you the ropes - you need to do it on your own. Sometimes morale can be an issue if you get sucked in by gossip.
Advice to Senior Management
Especially for new hires, more structure and support may be required in the early months. More inter-departmental collaboration would be helpful.
Pros
Great recognition, great values, great balance between personal and profesionnal life.
Cons
Getting a big raise is a bit difficult...
Advice to Senior Management
Maybe make the employees structure more flexible...
