Fun place to work but need to clear out the dead wood and work on professionalism

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsWorking here pushes you to be creative and learn new things daily. It's an extremely laid back and casual environment, which makes it a fun place to work.

ConsThe laid back environment can also mean that it's a bit unprofessional. Bosses reveal things to employees that they shouldn't and people gossip about others regularly. Also, there is a good handful of people that are in management positions who are just not competent at their jobs. These folks, who are not leaving anytime soon, are occupying valuable spots that would provide opportunities for other more qualified candidates. Pay is very low and there is very little opportunity for advancement, except for the lucky few.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

An Excellent Introduction Into Museum Education.

    Educator (Former Employee) Atlanta, GA

    Pros- Flexible schedule
    - Direct supervisors were honest and fair
    - Interfacing with the public
    - Opportunities to grow in your related field

Cons- Pay is ridiculously low for educators expected to have at least a B.A.

Advice to Senior ManagementThe educators and their direct supervisors are the ones that keep the museum open and running. Offer them a little gratitude in regards to pay and workload and their might not be quite as much staff turnover.
