I worked at Atlas Copco full-time

    Pros

This is a great company to work for! They have very highly competitive pay and benefits.

    Cons

It is a large global company, so you can feel like you are small yourself at times, with the size of the company.

    Pros

Being a global company you are afforded opportunities to meet and work with colleagues from many different cultures throughout the world.

    Cons

Not all management is sufficiently trained or knowledgeable in the required disciplines. Many lack cultural sensitivity training which on occasion leads to poor decisions that can adversely affect the company.

    Advice to Management

Additional emphasis needs to be placed on the retention of talented employees. This emphasis needs to be translated to all company levels. To accomplish this standardized mandatory training in identifying and growing Atlas Copco's high potentials should be considered.

    Pros

good work/life balance 3 weeks vacation in first year and a personal holiday good benefits global company with lots of opportunities to move around 80% of managers recruited from within

    Cons

low to average pay small (1-3%) across the board yearly raises small bonuses if given at all lots of "older" been there forever employees who fear change

    Advice to Management

Stop wasting so much money on constantly changing projects and give the employees real raises and bonuses.
