I have been working at Atlas Copco full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

The company offers great medical, retirement, and vacation benefits. The job is not hard to do and it's pretty easy to learn the process. Some of the managers are great people and understand and care for you.

    Cons

Lack of communication between the managers and employees. Sometimes work can get a bit boring depending on the position you have.

I have been working at Atlas Copco full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

The best thing about Atlas was above average compensation, and the benefits were great. I believe the benefits were better than the compensation.

    Cons

The business tends to lay off every four or five years. Most of the lay off is from production, not the office jobs. I we laid off twice from 2008-2013, up and down business market.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Be up front with production

    Cons

Lack of coordination between sales, service and production team

I have been working at Atlas Copco part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Core values and culture, one of the world's most sustainable and ethical companies.
    Responsibility from day 1.
    Fair pay for fair work

    Cons

A very large and complicated organizational structure making decisions slow and change difficult.
The turn over of personnel is low (which is good) however implicates this limited possibility for promotions etc. Horizontal reallocation more common.

I have been working at Atlas Copco full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Sustainable with the potential to survive through tough times.

    Cons

Rigid in its processes which leaves "creative thinking" only to those that have been given that responsibility in their Job Description.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Ensure work experience is taken into account more so that qualification.

    I worked at Atlas Copco

    Pros

The company culture is friendly, open, responsible, high-achieving yet fun. People are helpful and team oriented, which leads to a pleasant work environment and high performance. Also, the company works well with corporate responsibility, and there are great career opportunities. Changing position, business area, country etc is encouraged

    Cons

The wage is mediocre, and at some points the big organization can get a bit bureaucratic and slow. Offices seldom situated down town

I have been working at Atlas Copco as a contractor (less than a year)

    Pros

The people are hard-working and intelligent. The work is interesting and the company works hard to take care of the employees.

    Cons

I have not yet experienced any cons in working for Atlas Copco. Even though Atlas Copco is a global company, they allow local management enough leeway to manage their people with care and respect.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep doing well with interactions with employees and the end customer will continue to be well taken care of.
