    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Energize your employees (not only high level managers) at all branch offices and make them feel appreciated.

focus on real innovation, not just reports and PPTs that have the word in it.

Atradius Collections has no respect for employees

I have been working at Atradius full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Salary ok, management leaves at 5pm and so can you

    Cons

Employees aren't respected, they are a cost factor. Top collections management has an inner circle of friends who get the promotions and bonuses, the rest is left out and played against each other. Many bad cases of people being kicked out, lots of dirt being thrown, fluctuation is very high because people can't stand the horrible work atmosphere and that there isn't any progress to the business. Many people don't even last a year. On top of that there is no leadership and no strategy.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Atradius Collections management should focus on growing their business instead of making work a living hell for staff. And management at Credit Insurance should start taking notice what is happening at Collections and start cleaning up.

I have been working at Atradius full-time

    Pros

    - Stable
    - Interesting industry
    - Well paid
    - Good perks
    - Multicultural staff
    - Nice colleagues on a personal level

    Cons

    - Inefficient governance process
    - Lack of control over internal process: everything has to be done via committee
    - Bureaucratic, lack of accountability
    - Lack of transparency
    - Lack of ability to change and evolve
    - Lack of upward mobility and career prospects

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try to a foster dynamic workplace where people are empowered and accountable.
Bring in some experienced executives with a proven track record in achieving change.
Look to attract them from different industries - IT, Marketing etc. - preferably from US, or with experience of working in US, where bureaucracy is a less desirable working characteristic.
Bring in a COO/CTO role with decision making power and control over change projects.
Bring in a new CEO from outside the organisation, or the parent organisation, one who can lead with presence, authority and vision, who is not interested in consolidating and controlling everything except the direction in which the company is going.
Diminish the strength of your IT department in controlling project budgets and empower your business units to take both ownership and the lead in progressing and growing the company.

I have been working at Atradius full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    Salaries are ok.
    No stress work environment.

    Cons

Management often very condescending towards employees, take pleasure in creating unrest, no career paths. If you want to grow, go somewhere else! Communication internally poor, hired/fired employees often not officially communicated. Poor leadership and no vision.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you treat your employees with disrespect, you will also earn disrespect.
Invest in building a strategy and stop shooting from the hip.

    I worked at Atradius

    Pros

The country manager was understanding towards women with children and was supportive of the need of work-life.

    Cons

As it was a small set-up, there was no room for career advancement.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Salaries and bonuses should be moderated across the different departments.
