    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Atrium Medical full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great working environment. Employees are friendly and will help you with tasks you are not familiar with. Students in the Cooperative Education program are treated and given responsibilities as engineers.

    Cons

Not so much a con specifically for Atrium, but in the medical device industry, procedures are strict. The work is not easy. Most of the job is working with inter-disciplinary teams and strong communication is a must.

    Pros

It offers products that help patients' lives. There is an opportunity to earn a good living.

    Cons

There are very large territories that can be challenging to attend to on a regular basis.

    Advice to Management

Continue to develop your people and provide for them goals that are reachable.

I have been working at Atrium Medical full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Friendly production staff, decent pay if you don't have a degree, trying to make strides forward in quality protocol

    Cons

Audits by FDA failed every time, absolutely no communication between departments, paperwork is lost every day, and no one gets along

    Advice to Management

Try forwarding pending ECOs to the department that will be using them before you implement them? Time and time again we get new procedures that are impossible or unclear because they didn't actually ask us if this is valid.

I worked at Atrium Medical full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I met a lot of great people outside of the QC department and they did provide a lot of overtime. If you have a bachelors degree which I do, you will get suckered into applying for a specialist position but most people don't bother considering the pay is only a few more bucks.

    Cons

high turnover rate hence lots of overtime understaffed hence lots of overtime low pay rude and unprofessional staff and higher management

    Advice to Management

Theres a reason for the high turnover rate in the department. Open your eyes. Don't expect blue collar professionals to work in a negative environment that is set by your upper management.

    Pros

    The workplace locale is convenient.

    Advice to Management

Just because the person has the correct initials after their name does not make them competent or management material.
