Pros
A close-knit staff where young and seasoned professionals can thrive together.
Fun environment where hard work and hard play is encouraged.
Offers opportunities to make good money.
Cons
Recruiting is a tough business and Recruiters and the staff that supports them must be able to roll with the punches. Not necessarily a con but not everyone can hang with it.
Pros
It's great for a quick job but after your assignment is done...
Cons
Slave Wages
Management doesn't care about you once you've completed your assignment.
Doesn't follow up on issues.
Will tell you one thing than do another.
Have the mindset that it's a one and done job assignment!
Treated like a temp but will dangle future "permanent" positions in your face that won't ever happen.
Advice to Senior Management
Was not impressed with their "leadership" skills. Learn to respond to issues better, IE when a temp is having issues with assignment, look into them! Don't treat temps as throwaway people!
Pros
i love the energy of the office- it's very young and community-centric.
Cons
Management is on occassion overbearing.

Pros
My experience with Atrium Staffing has been very positive. They are very professional and are in constant contact with me regarding placements and temporary jobs. I would definitely recommend Atrium over other staffing agencies in New York.
Cons
The hourly rate of the temp jobs is sometimes on the low side, but I'm happy that the staff at Atrium work hard to find me jobs.
Pros
Good pay and not bothered by Atrium while on assignment
Cons
Vacation policy changed after I was hired with out so much as a e-mail to me. Also did not change for everyone. I was told I am not eligible to for a vacation. I am on a 2 year assignment and no type of vacation but if you do the shorter assignments you can accrue hours towards a vacation. The assinment I am on now would allow me to reach that hour goal twice a year so they did away with mine I guess they really don't want to pay any kind of vacation pay but their website says paid vacation. So I guess it is a lie and once you lie to me I lose respect and trust for your company and post things like this. I like everyone to know how you run your business so they can decide for themselves if they want to work for you and what to expect. Also their health insurance is not even health insurance says so right on the card cost is too much for a discount plan which is all it is. can't even cancell it when you find out you don't like ie and that it does not pay for anything just takes your money have to wait until the next enrollment to cancell. so i have to pay them 286 dollars a month for no kind of service. If you work for them don't get their health insurance you will be sorry like me if you do.
Advice to Senior Management
If you are going to offer something so someone will sign on with you then don't just change the rules and not bother to tell your people that you changed it later on after they decide to work for your company.
Pros
the people are great and you can make good money if you are hungry, eager, and have urgency
Cons
Not sure, probably that there is some turnover, but isn't there always in staffing?
Pros
Young, energetic environment. Benefits, while expensive, are very good. Offices are conveniently located by public transportation, and are very modern. My immediate boss was great! They were very supportive and I enjoyed working directly for that person.
Cons
It is virtually impossible to move up in the company. I worked my tail off for years before I realized I was spinning my wheels for absolutely nothing. Plus, as a position that is mostly commissioned, you basically have to start from the ground up, while my former commision-based position put you on a guarantee for a short while until you got ramped up. You are promised the moon and stars when you are interviewing, but in reality you're lucky if you can catch a cloud or a snowflake (and speaking of snow, good luck with that - if you're unable to make it to the office because there is 2 feet of snow on the ground, be prepared to use vacation time to stay home!!). There is a distinct difference in how some people are treated versus others. Managers have their favorites that can get away with quite a bit, while you struggle to get noticed. There is absolutely nothing that is done to keep staff morale up. Some offices are treated great, others are treated like the forgotten step-child. The internal turnover is quite eyeopening. If you ask the few people that left around the same time I did, they'd say "money, opportunity for advancement, a boss that cares about me." Despite all of the fancy words they use in their job ads to attract applicants, really think twice - if you want to work and get a paycheck, it's a good place to work. If you want to work for a company that truely cares for their employees, this is definitely not the right place.
Advice to Senior Management
Take a look at your employees and treat them the way you want to be treated. If you don't, they'll all leave. You can't think "oh, well we can find new, fresh, more motivated people" - because you won't. Treat the talented people who dedicated YEARS to you well, and they will stay.
Pros
- Applicant Centric Staffing Model (vs just volume and metrics)
- Employees have some say in how the business is run
- Energetic, hard working people
Cons
- Long hours
- Commission Plan could be more competitive
- Fairly tough to move up in the organization, but that is typical of companies this size in this industry.
Advice to Senior Management
More up-to-date systems and recruiting software would be helpful. Allowing employees with long commutes to do more work from home would be helpful.
Pros
Staff and managers proved to be professional, competent, and helpful at all times.
There is flexibility- they work with the needs of both the client and the Temp.
Cons
Once on an assignment, communication seems to be minimal, however this may no be altogether negative. Management is taken over by that of the client providing the assignment.
Advice to Senior Management
When checking in with your client to see how the contract worker and assignment is faring, include the worker in the communication circle so they are not to be simply 'talked about.'
Pros
they might find an entry level job. they might send you to a great company but don't expect to get paid much. if you think of it as an internship, maybe you can handle it. you can meet people. you can take some computer tests. get to see union square. online timecard.
Cons
companies treat temps as slaves. temps sign rights away. you are the bottom, company middle, and pimp is first. low wages. benefits after working for months but they cost almost your whole check. expect to be watched on assignment like an ex-con. every regular employee is your boss.
Advice to Senior Management
temporary employees should be used for temporary assignments with responsibilities that help their resumes so they can later get better jobs.
