Pros
Auburn university has a good research work with highly skilled professors and excellent facility. Very good place to learn lot of new things.
Cons
the pay scale compared to other unversities is very less in auburn. The place is very remote and away from cities.
Pros
The people really care about their job and the university.
Cons
Most positions are held long term, limiting growth. Not a terrible negative.
Advice to Senior Management
Continue the Auburn Spirit
Pros
The community, the people, the campus.
Cons
Internal politics in hiring practices and old south boys network mentality.
Advice to Senior Management
Open up to some fresh ideas and new faces from outside the AU system. Give a little respect and salary appreciation to the staff and support staff. The university can not function without them. Too much emphasis on faculty and sports!.
Pros
There is always immense pride associated with working at Auburn University, and you can get access to locked buildings for bathroom breaks during football tailgating
Cons
As a graduate teaching assistant, you don't really get any benefits and work way more hours than the number you are paid for. You may be asked to cover your main professor's class with very little notice.
Advice to Senior Management
Be more communicative with all levels of your employees! Yes we are also students, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't tell us things too. (i.e. that you are going to change the rules for missing class and send out a mass email to all students)
Pros
Flexible hours and fun coworkers
Cons
the pay is pretty low
Advice to Senior Management
none
Pros
The environment here is friendly.
Cons
Not too much opportunities to get a job in industry.
Advice to Senior Management
Build a network with companies, invite more campus interview.
Pros

Advice to Senior Management
Faculties should publish more paper with graduate students

Cons
Pay and promotion. If you don't brown nose you will not get ahead.
Advice to Senior Management
Pay people what they are worth.
Pros

Cons
low payment. no full time job offered.
Advice to Senior Management
Offer more opportunity for fresh graduate.
Pros
Was able to be on the football field for all games.
Able to be a part of something special and create bonds with people from all over
Cons
Lack of pay and respect for the work that you had to do. Hours were crazy and expected from all managers
Advice to Senior Management
I would suggest doing proper homework on management before bring them on board and doing an honest assesment on how that will effect the rest of the workplace
