I worked at Auburn University part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I loved working here because of the flexible hours. This job worked well with my school schedule. I also appreciated that I did not have to work on weekends. They paid for part of my tuition as well.

    Cons

Getting in all my work hours in combination with school projects and finals wasn't fun, but I'm sure that's with any job. I also couldn't work full time when I didn't have classes.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work! And thank you.

I worked at Auburn University (More than a year)

    Pros

Amazing environment! Learning Specialists are always willing to help. Coaching staff and Athletic Department are all working to do their very best for the students.

    Cons

The only con I experienced was having to leave.

    Advice to Management

Alexandria Brice, Jenna Sample and Kristine Bell are truly wonderful and genuinely want to help make the lives of the student-athletes enriched through education.

I have been working at Auburn University full-time

    Pros

Very good place to work. People there are very nice and easy to communicate. NIce compus. Good football match and stadium.

    Cons

Area without many industries. It's a university city. Not many opportunities for Engineers. Very small town to live so sometimes, not that convenient compared to big cities.

    Advice to Management

Work hard and study hard. Follow professor's advice and make them happy. Stay careful and curious about the research.

I worked at Auburn University part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Friendly employees, relaxed environment, low-stress work, and VERY flexible scheduling. They will help you get hours while working around your classes and other obligations.

    Cons

Low pay, but what do you expect with this kind of job? Better than minimum wage and you are eligible for a slight raise every 2 semesters.

    Pros

Great people, lots of experience, doesn't interfere with studies, flexible scheduling, willing to work around various responsibilities and academic needs

    Cons

Some of the student supervisors are tough to deal with but this is a temporary issue as people graduate every day. Also I feel like they are given slightly too much power. Overstepping into management kind of responsibilities.

    Advice to Management

Try to loosen things up a little bit. I feel like there is redundant bureaucracy but over all you are doing a great job. This is a great program for students to get to work on the side.

I worked at Auburn University part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great sense of community, good work life balance and consistent hours. There are some good benefits, which help offset lower pay.

    Cons

Parking on or around campus can be difficult. Limited opportunities for advancement in some departments. Some lower pay due to the nature of the institution

    Advice to Management

Look for more opportunities to develop and promote employees from within. Continue to offer great benefits and foster the great community spirit that Auburn has to offer.

    Pros

Beautiful campus. Friendly people. Auburn has some wonderful professors, and some not-so-wonderful ones. As you progress in your curriculum, they tend to get better.

    Cons

Very large class sizes for freshman usually. Some buildings are in desperate need of renovation. Town is very small - could be considered a pro or a con.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing. Auburn as a whole is a phenomenal school with great values and a positive outlook. I am graduating this year, and I will be sad to leave.
