Pros
Pays well, good work life balance, interesting software development problems to solve in some areas, incredibly dull in others
Cons
Amazingly silly decisions made by senior management at times. The review process is a farce, strong teams are implicitely discouraged by grading on a curve amongst tiny sample groups.
Advice to Senior Management
Change the review process, become a meritocracy.
Pros
Focus on Corporate Social Responsibility, Competent People, Vision
Cons
Short-Sightedness, Sometimes They Talk a Big Game but don't Deliver, Majority of Senior Execs are Snobs, Majority of the Country CEOs seemed unfocused
Advice to Senior Management
Listen!

Advice to Senior Management
Formulate new policies to enable employees to get better career growth in the company
Pros
very good work life balance..the work timings of 8-5 are followed well..pretty good compensation package..very friendly team mates to work with
Cons
no growth opportunties..very bureaucratic management..management issues never get resolved..only new ones get added...less importance given to hard work and more given to ability to sell yourself and get visibility
Advice to Senior Management
reduce the unnecessary layers in evry small thing and improve the speed of your actions..take in more competent people and retain good people
Pros
- Competitive but collaborative environment.
- Flexibility in the work place.
- Good career opportunities, more so now with expansion in Asia.
- Good work life balance in most roles.
- The company has invested a lot of money recently in upgrading facilities to employees at their new head office in Docklands, Melbourne.
Cons
- Organisation is going through quite a bit of change ever since there has been a change in senior management.
Advice to Senior Management
None
Pros
Work life balance, ability to move across groups, great networking opportunities with senior management, travel opportunities to the diverse work locations that ANZ has.
Cons
Not really a hurried pace of work and can be a bit leisurely, some of the management initiatives come too late for the company's growth, implementations are often delayed.
Advice to Senior Management
Please continue valuing the work life balance, increase accountability of all employees, speed up implementation of projects, provide interenship opportunities in India and other countries as well.
Pros
Work Live Balance, ongoing training, locations, relaxed work place, Intranet works seamlessly, extra work was allowed to be picked up if slow
Cons
constant moving of offices and levels, no warning of redundancies to employees and no notice given to others about who is taking over there duties, turnover of managers was very very high,
Advice to Senior Management
On more then one occasion it seemed a manager or employee was moved to a division where they didn't have the appropriate level of knowledge to fulfill there new role. It was almost like they where sent in over there head so they would quit... this may have been the case but it was very frustrating for the other employees.
Pros
Well defined direction from top leadership makes this an exciting place to be. The less stressful environment and down to earth people is a positive that can't be overlooked.
Cons
Sometimes the lack of focus on performance can lead to a lack of opportunities for those looking to climb the ladder at a fast pace, but in place of these opportunities is more stable employment.
Advice to Senior Management
The well communicated direction provided by the CEO and others at the top certainly help inspire, unfortunately there can be a huge disparity between what top executives say and what is practised/implemented by middle management and HR.
