I worked at Australia and New Zealand Banking full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Very friendly, good atmosphere, and everyone was willing to put down what they were doing to give you a hand.

    Cons

There were really no major cons to this job. I guess the only one would be that the name is relatively unknown by one people outside of the banking world.

    Pros

no pros- they make you drink the kool Aid on career promises but give you a mediocre desk job and force you to perform

    Cons

management are a bunch of 5 star clowns who monitor behaviour like prison guards. everything you do or say is used against you. you can't speak your mind to help improve the business. low performers are kept in the business not hitting numbers required. high performers are let go despite making money for the company. overall this place offer temp contracts with no sick or annual leave for 12 months and expect people to quit or let them go because they know calling people all day for a bad campaign is a totally demoralising way to start your career in finance.

they also put you on the phones saying not to give advice because they train you for 2 weeks in a room not doing much at all wasting companies money then put you on the phones and expect you to talk finance.

upper management are cut throat losers who can't solve people problems, they solve problems by letting temps go with no notice. you're pretty much expendable there.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

yeah, they promise it in 6 months but will you really last? you'll have to stay content with your minimum wage there.

    Pros

Flexible working arrangement not an issue, do not need to work on most weekends, quite interesting projects for inhouse legal to be involved in, super regional strategy, lots of opportunity to work overseas and Asia

    Cons

No pay rise for 3 years in a row. This means salary gets eroded by inflation. Technology and it systems sometime does not work and it takes ages to get anything fixed on your computer, so this affects job productivity.
