Pros
Good working environment where you were encouraged and worked with. Renumerated well when hitting your targets. Unique environment that is created in the sales room.
Cons
Some room for career development but could be better. Probably created by the size of the business, it's big enough for a few management positions but not big enough for a number of management positions.
Advice to Senior Management
Friendly and approachable which is great, perhaps a bit more feedback.
Pros
Dynamic Environment
Snr Management have created a very professional product and support for members. This made selling a real and valuable product a pleasure
Snr Management also showed interest in the daily operations of staff and hosted many staff events
Peter Appla has developed a solid company offering a service which could be of benefit to many people
Cons
Sales manager was full of double standards and was very crass
Sales manager would continually infringe on workers rights by releasing confidential information to other reps, encourage and distribute vial porn and other such immature behaviour
The ability to succeed is solely determined by the sales manager who would hand out leads, if he did not like you he would hand out less qualified leads
Sales Mgr told me if I sold $50K this month I would receive a pay rise, I sold $49,700 and he denied the pay rise, despite being the best sales person (most sales, most time on phone) out of all new employees in the 6 months I was there. I had already been offered other positions so I immediately accepted one and moved on
Was encouraged by aforementioned sales mgr to sell (virtually extort) anyone who visited the website. If they didnt buy we were told to hound them or "slam" them until they did buy regardless of whether our services would be of legitimate benefit or not
Advice to Senior Management
Keep doing what you have been but seriously consider the impact (or possible risk) a sales mgr with little ethics has to the company. I am sure the last thing ASR would want is air time for all the wrong reasons
