    Pros

    Make your own schedule Bonus

    Cons

My district has too much drama between employees. No teamwork with other store managers, low staff during slow periods and always having to fix crappy run down stores

    Advice to Management

Reward store managers who take run down stores and turn them positive

I have been working at AutoZone part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Indoors wih AC - Flexible schedule - Associate Discount 20% sometimes 30%

    Cons

    - Pay is lower than market average - retail hours (open late 9-11 pm depending on location ) - hours are never set they vary depending on sales and quota meet by the store

    Advice to Management

Give the hard working employees a raise and stop hiring additional staff that is unnecessary when you already have a full staff.

Very low pay for a fortune 500 company, with only pennies given during once a year evaluation. Never enough staff Discount doesn't apply to everyday preventive maintenance stuff like oil

Treat employees better and give better incentive to want to work and be motivated

I have been working at AutoZone (Less than a year)

    Pros

It's a job and you get paid a base salary. Health insurance is very expensive. Training is terrible.

    Cons

The management and HR are not there to help you. Area manager is a loon.

    Advice to Management

You have the wrong people in areas of power.

    Pros

    - Nice learning about cars and dealing with people. Also, the 10% employee discount was nice. - Fair pay (starting) - Some really cool people to work with.

    Cons

    - Always some sort of drama from management. - .25 cent raises (insanity) - Inflexible hours. They will have you closing one night, then coming back at 7 to open the next morning.

    Advice to Management

Better pay. No one can live on $8/hr. Implement a profit sharing model for team members. Even if its just $150 a quarter, its still nice.

    Approves of CEO

    Pros

Great training, positive self image, The CEO wants to care about his employees, great benefits including the in store discount.

    Cons

LOW PAY!!!!!!!!! LOW HOURS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Besides that, Plan-o-grams don't make much sense behind the counter, they got rid of some useful tools on the tool isle for promotional items that won't sell, uniforms that show work related oils and dirt easy, pushing products customers don't care about, don't care about the community that their stores occupy.

    Advice to Management

Change the way the hours are distributed to stores. Even part time employees need to work more then two days a week. Allow the store managers freedom to let their stores be part of the community, (message boards, store sponsored events, donation jars, ect.)
