I worked at AutoZone part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

You will get a discount on parts

    Cons

Low hours, Stressed management, a lot of work, not enough drivers. The hours were rotating and you didn't know until the day before the new week began, so it was impossible to get a second job. Zero brakes except for lunch if they even remembered.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Put on your big boy pants and stop throwing hissy-fits.

    Pros

I really enjoy working in the automotive industry, having come from working in a service shop before this. This job keeps me in the loop constantly with information that is relevant to me and my interests.

    Cons

Advancement opportunities are not as attainable as I was led to believe. I'm still paid less than the average wage for my position, while going beyond the responsibilities of my pay grade on a regular basis, there is no positive reinforcement.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

A better pay scale; I know everybody says this about everywhere they work. As a full time enployee that does more than necessary for my position, I am under compensated by a long shot. I have tried to address this reasonably several times only tobe ignored about my concerns.

I have been working at AutoZone full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    Great location
    Nice office with good views
Fun, growing company with lots of opportunities
Cafeteria and decent food in office!

    Cons

    Unrealistic expectations/deadlines
    Little resources to complete projects
Lack of communication at the top levels
Culture of thrift is quite thrifty!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue to show support of growth and stores, but remember what new companies are doing for employees- work from home, more vacation, and employee recognition are being offered at other companies. If you don't keep up, it will continue to be difficult finding the right talent.

    Pros

At AutoZone customers come first , this is practiced from CEO all the way to the stores. benefits are good, good holidays and vacation plan.

    Cons

a little short on recognition for some areas of the company and very heavy on other parts of the company

    Advice to ManagementAdvice
